Isaiah was my technician when i had an issue. Response time was on target and service was very good. They responded after hours to my issue, which very well could have waited. Price was very reasonable and affordable for the service performed. The technician was very professional, punctual, and educated in this line of work. I will definetly reccommend Isaiah, as well as Mike Scott plumbing in the future.

We had a major leak on our hot water line. The leak was difficult to locate as it was under the 6" concrete slab and also under a set of kitchen cabinets. We were advised by the leak detector company to remove the cabinets - a major exercise!  The two M.S. plumbers, who arrived to repair the leak, also perceived the cabinets as a major problem.  After a  discussion, agreed to locate the leaking pipe underneath the cabinets. Naturally, this was a difficult task and needed extra effort. However they both displayed the 3 traits common to all great men - energy, empathy and flexibility!  They were clever and inventive!  They solved the problem without all the additional expense and our system was functional before they left. They did save us hundreds of dollars, lost days waiting for other contractors to remove the cabinets which would have necessitated granite and  splash-back tile repairs. When we thanked them, their reply was, "It is all part of the job" - yes. part of the job, but certainly and unquestionably far above and at a higher level  than what we have come to accept from service providers. Five gold stars to M.S. team!

So, I’m visiting my elderly parents & the Master toilet won’t flush.  Off they go to an appt & I call their plumber. 

He can’t come out till the next morning. If it was the guest bath, ok, but they’re 75 & can’t get to the other side of the house late with urgency.

The plumber volunteers the contact info for 2 other operations that service the area.  He’s worked with them before.  

1st one is fairly booked, but can give me a 4 hour window that afternoon - “I’ll take it!” (The other offered to call if the schedule opened up, but they anticipated not being able to come out till late.)

Jose & his helper come out & snaked the toilet.  I told him my parents say the other one acts up on occasion & ask should he snake that one.  He assured me there’s no need.  I write a check & I’m happy - they are quick, neat & polite, as well as honest enough not to get extra labor $ by unnecessarily working on the other toilet.  In fact, I’m pretty sure the undercharged on labor. Great...

Until a day or so later... the one that only had issues occasionally? I needed a plunger to flush.  Great.  

Then a couple of days later, the one they snaked not only won’t flush, it OVERFLOWS!

So, I call them back & let them know I need them to come back and actually fix it this time.  

During the call I made sure the terms of the visit were clear -“not paying for a service call, right? No. If it gets snaked again, no charge, right? No. Only labor (fair enough, especially as he undercharged) & for any different services performed. Fair enough. And the labor, it’s pro-rated, right? Yes.”  

So, the best The could do was 6-10 pm.  We have no choice but to take the appointment.  
 
I ask for a text with an eta & I get one around 9 - plumber, Charles, introduced himself & says he’s on his way. Expected to arrive 9:35-9:40.  Great.

Given that snaking didn’t work, when he gets here (closer to 9:30) he figures there maybe more going on in the pipes than they’d thought, so he pulls the toilet out entirely.  Assures us the only charge for this (beyond labor) will be for new wax seals. 

Runs 60 ft of snake. Encounters nothing. Checks the flow outside & with several faucets going. Looks good - actually shows me what’s happening vs how it would look if there were a problem.  Best he can figure is that someone had an unusually large &/or hard BM that managed to stop the pipes. As he didn’t find anything, it must’ve broken down in the intervening hours. 

When he was through (11:30), he checked in with his boss and told us there would only be labor to pay!

Charles restored my faith in MIKE SCOTT PLUMBING entirely. The only reason for the missing star is the original visit. The office, boss & Charles are 5 stars all the way!

Do not give this place your credit card!!!This place charged fees after the fact once they left. They gave me a quote of 234.00 rang it up the afterwards went in and put another 73.00 charge on this for no reason. They replaced my supply lines when they removed the toilet and put new wax rings and new guts in the toilet but now they are denying that they changed the supply line because it is leaking. So they say that they removed my toilet, fixed everything and then put a 15 year old supply line back on. Can you believe this.Then i sent them pics of the new supply line and  After taking pics of the supply lines their plumber put on they deny that they are their supply lines. They are home depot supply lines and they are triyng to accuse me of putting them on saying that they dont use home depot products..Why would i take their supply lines off , go to home depot and put different ones on?? The toilet supply line is leaking and they want $150 to come out and fix their work!! THIS PLACE DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK!! I will let everyone in Ocala palms know this!!!
