We visited the campsite and we were so excited for the weekend ahead because of all the things we heard. But, from the moment we arrived on day one, the camp host was extremely RUDE to us. We figured it wouldn't happen again but the second day he came back and was extremely rude again. I don't understand how some people do not know how to communicate respectively to others. We will not be returning to this campsite again, we were really disappointed that rude camp host are working such beautiful campgrounds.

I would have given this a lower score but the location is great. The camp host was so unbelievably rude to us. We were unloading a kayak near the restrooms (we have a toddler so this was easier than walking) in our car and he came and yelled at us like we were truant teens. It's still not clear why he was yelling at us but it seemed like he thought we didn't have a parking pass for the camp or something which we clearly did hanging on the mirror. It was actually kind of shocking how mean he was. The car couldn't have been there for more than 1 minute and we weren't blocking anyone. The sites aren't very private and feel more beachy than woodsy but the trade off is that you're right on the lake.

Our families had an amazing outdoor experience at Molly Brown Campground. The gentleman checks you in via golf cart and reminds you of the check-out time and where to get firewood. We stayed at site 010, right on Turquoise Lake. The wind off the lake was chilly when the sun went down, but warmed up quickly when the sun came out. Kayakers and paddle boarders sprinkled the turquoise waters around 10:00am and the campground was quiet (except for our kids) a little after sundown. The view was the best part of our site. The pictures do not do it justice. The quaint town of Leadville, CO is just up the road with a strip of specialty stores, boutiques, thrift stores and restaurants.

The campground hosts were extremely rude to us. We arrived, grabbed an envelope at the front and started to look for a spot. We noticed a golf cart starting to follow us so we pulled over quick to either let them pass or ask them about availability. They immediately started screaming at us saying we couldn't park there. We weren't parking! I calmly tried to explain that we were just looking for a spot and was met with threats of a parking ticket and a call to the local sheriff. My wife and I were dumbfounded and just looking for a nice spot to camp so we could hike Mt. Elbert the next morning. Definitely gave us a bad first impression of Leadville but we booked it out of there and found a nice spot closer to the trailhead. I just don't understand angry people like this. Never going to visit this campground again!

Nice quiet spot with great views. There were no showers nor was there a sink to wash hands. Overall great camp ground.
