Our campsite was pretty awesome and fit our camper perfectly. We were in #61 in the far loop. The views were awesome and there's lots of great hiking opportunities nearby. The swimming is supposed to be great, but it's hard to find a spot to get into the water and was pretty chilly still when we went in June. Their signage isn't real helpful to find your spot if you don't know your loop name. The bathrooms in 2 different spots were out of toilet paper for over 24 hours and that's unacceptable. The last night we were there, there were people cutting down 15 foot Aspen trees to make room for their tent which was totally crazy and unfortunately not noticed by the camp host. I'd come back for the views and the area, but I'm not sure if this campground is any better than the ones around it, so I might give them a try if spot #61 was full.

This was a hidden gem for our camping trip!! We called to book a reservation and was greatly disappointed that they were fully booked for the weekend, but be adventurous we drove in any how to see if there was any cancellations. Surprise! They have around 3-4 first come first serve camping spots. These have the most breathtaking views I have ever seen! I would recommend tent site 38!! The added bonus was that there was a small, quite, sandy beach to relax on as well!

What an amazing place. The views are some of the best I've ever seen. The mountains and lakes are unbelievable. Pictures don't do this place justice. Best camping trip we've ever been on! Definitely recommend

Having stayed at a number of campgrounds in the Leadville, CO area, I have to say that White Star ranks in the Top 5 for sure. The campground was well-taken care of, and the caretakers were very helpful in getting us sorted out. Our specific campsite was spacious and excellent for the price. Will definitely recommend and use them again.
