Nice campground with a lake. Great way to visit the Big Cypress and Everglades area. The host was very friendly and took care of the place. We came in December. It was very warm day and night. There were some mosquitoes at night but they were not too bad with deet bug spray. There are bathrooms and water here but no showers. At least 3 Gators were living in the lake when we went. They can be spotted in the water or near the edge.

This campground is off the main road about 1/2 mile and its a beautiful place to camp. If you are from out of state you'll love the gators in the lake. If you are star gazer or astrophotographer, you'll love it too. Just realized I accidentally put the wrong campground name; should be Burns Lake.

Liked it! Gator in the area, so extra points. Amazing to watch the milky way Just remember to bring your finishing license or you will ended up with a ticket !!

It's always hard to review campgrounds since people want a wide range of things, but this is a beautiful (in a natural Everglades type of way) little site. No hookups but you can fill your water and get rid of your trash (haven't checked out the dump station yet). Quiet on a little lake, lots of birds a few alligators, just a peaceful place. Very nice campground hosts who've been there for 10+ years and know the area. Wish the bathouses had showers but otherwise a great spot to chill...

A simple little campground. Be aware there are no showers, but the bathroom is nice. No gate, so you can come in late and self register. Get up in time to see the sunrise--worth the $23 bucks just for that!!
