Story

Newton Medical Center, based in Newton, New Jersey, serves the people of Sussex and Warren counties in NJ, Pike County in Pennsylvania and southern Orange County in New York. We are home to the Center for Breast Health, the only one of its kind in Sussex County, and are accredited in echocardiography by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. Newton Medical Center is part of Atlantic Health System, one of the leading non-profit health care systems in NJ.

My mom fractured her hip and went to Newton Hospital.  All of the staff were wonderful! My mom had surgery that was successful. The surgeon kept me updated and did an awesome job! My mom spent several days at 1 South. The greatest nurses on earth work there! Thanks to everyone for taking such care of my mom!

Went with my 18 months old. Wait was not as long as expected. Nurses and doctors were attentive and professional.

Their Physical Therapy folks here are TERRIFIC,  highly recommended, with beautiful new facilities. They helped fix up my post-hip-replacement issues very nicely

Then, the experience in the ER on a really scary early morning emergency was fantastic.  Note - if you can, go to the ER here very early mornings, I was the ONLY patient in the whole waiting room.

Then, a few years later I had a hernia operation there and one of the nurses acted like card-carrying psycho. She actually told me, "The pain is all in your head". Creepiest nurse I've ever seen anywhere. Well, we can't all be perfect.

A few weeks ago my wife went to the E.R. complaining of chest,shoulder and sweating.  They preformed stress test, and catscan of the head, watched her overnight. She was told to see her cardiologist she went there and saw a nurse practitioner,  she told my wife to walk more. Went to our regular doctor he was mad, asked us to see a cardiologist in Morristown N J. He had her lungs checked for blood clots and they were good.  He scheduled angioplasty,  then they found an artery that was 99% blocked. I went though the same thing last year, had the same problem, was sent home,  I still have pain when I over work the body, I recommend you not go to Newton for anything.  You do not see you doctor there just hospitalist, and they seem to not know you or care about you. We will not go back to Newton for anything.

They put i was on cancer medication on my chart and falsified documents....when I went in and asked for the girls name who took my information Amber had the front desk smirked and said she can't give me that information.  This facility will end up killing someone when they don't take a health history correct
