I had a spinal fusion. The nurses kept my wife informed and there is a board that shows where you are. The care was awesome. I was there for 5 days. I worked in hospitals as a social worker. There are hundreds of patients and a hand full of nurses who bust their ads to help the patients. The nurses have to deal with the doctors, the patients and the pain in the ass family all at the same time. I has 2 rods and 16 screws in my back, I didn't complain 1 time and got the best treatment. They new I was hurting. Maybe if you stop complaing you will see how good the care is. I'm an hour away and will go back no doubt.

The nurses could not bother to tell me that my mother was out of surgery for over an hour. Then they became very snippy when I approached the nursing station to inquire about her status. The woman in admissions said she would correct a mistake on my mother's wrist band three times then did nothing three times. These people know nothing about HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) . I had to explain it to them.

Just had my second daughter at Saint Clare’s in Denville and had a great experience once again. Every staff member is kind and makes you feel special and well cared for. They take the time to talk to you and aren’t just “in and out” of the room. I like that visitors are not allowed in the labor and delivery rooms- it gives the parents time to adjust and just be together with their new child and not be bombarded by family right after giving birth. Nurse Amanda was amazing during my delivery! She even came to see us the next day and see how we were doing! I will always recommend Saint Clare’s!

The only reason I didn't only give one star is because of one nurse in the E.R. His name is Pedro and he handled himself very well in an understaffed hospital. We were in the E.R for 8 hours!!!!!! All we were trying to do was get the Psych but they couldn't release us until my family members heart rate went down to normal. (understandably) however it took 3 different IV's and many hours. Pedro treated my family member very well all while dealing with 3 other patients at the same time with different situations. Something needs to be done about the staffing. I saw a lot of people just sitting around and I can't say for sure they weren't doing anything but i can say Pedro was running back and fourth and could have used a hand from someone. The PA was not so great either. Her bedside manner was awful and I don't think she knows how to smile. I'm happy she went home. The psych department was a mess but i left a separate review for that. Thank God for Pedro!

Horrible at best! They left me in excruciating pain for hours. I wouldn't take my worst enemy to this place. In fact, I told the Paramedics and EMT NOT to take me here but they still did breaking NJ Health Law. This place is riddled with HIPPA violations as they scream out private details of my patient status. I could go on and on. The best thing about this place was the professional ultrasound technician whom was patient and kind with me. The ER doctor was negligent. Two patients in the entire ER is Gould have known but I had no choice in this case. Sad very sad that we can't depend on our local hospital.
