We just stayed there for the 1st time this weekend and really loved the campground and staff. The campground is beautiful with that back woods feel to it, yet there aren't so many trees that you can't maneuver you camper around to your spot. The staff and owners were very friendly and readily available to answer questions or just talk. The owners have not had it long and you just get the feel that they are really going to do something great with this campground. The bathhouse is very clean and newly refreshed. The have a playground, new sand volleyball court and a basketball court. There is very easy access to the canal and to Backbay if you want to put in a boat or a kayak. The campground is just a few short miles to the beautiful Sandbridge beaches and Backbay park. It also just about 10-12 miles from the main strip and boardwalk in Va. Beach. Having stayed at one of the bigger local campgrounds for many years, I would highly recommend this campground over some of the bigger ones that are busier and the staff is less friendly due to the sheer number of people that they have to deal with. This is much more relaxed and much less busy. Go, look and see. You will be impressed.

**BEST CAMPGROUND IN VIRGINIA BEACH** *****If you're looking for clean, peaceful, family oriented camping, you've found it!***** Sites are a good size, clean, wooded but not so much so that you can't fit your rig and our back porch is literally right on the water! Don't fret if they don't have a full hook up site available cause they have "honey wagon" service that comes around to pump you out and a dump station. The bath house and laundry room are always clean and you feel completely safe walking around at any time. If you have kids there's plenty for them too..... Fishing, basketball, volleyball, playground, rec room, kayak rental and boat ramp. You're close to Sandbridge Beach or the Red Mill area for shopping, resteraunts, movies and groceries. They have campers available to rent as well as cabins and tent sites if you have others that want to join but don't have their own camper. Staff is always friendly and accommodating! We ended up staying a whole month we loved it so much! We've been to all of the campgrounds in Virginia Beach and this is by far our favorite! Come stay at North Bay Shores Campground, you'll be glad you did!

Fun. Tent sites are tight but place was still awesome. Great place for kids. could be a little quieter at night. Overall good.

Nice place. Great owners. I have to dock a few stars because they need an enforced quiet time rule. It's almost 11 and people are blaring their music and other people are being really loud, kids are screaming, some guy is using a loud electric chain saw to cut his wood. At 10:45. And the owner is walking around like it's not a problem. Other than that, lovely location, well kept.

Great no frills camping, cabins are clean and there is AC in sleeping area! Family friendly atmosphere, rec room, fishing, canoe & kayak rental (reasonable rates). Well groomed and managed. Bath house is clean plenty of hot water with good pressure. Overall a great place a couple of miles from the beach.
