Our furnace went out just as the cold weather came. North Winds was able to come out the next day to assess our unit (I was given wait times of approximately 7-10 days from other local companies). Our technician, Jon, was on time, courteous, and thorough in his explanation of the issue we were having. Additionally, he took the initiative to determine whether the part that needed to be replaced was under warranty (it was!), something neither my husband nor myself had considered. This initiative saved us quite a bit of money and allowed us to fix it sooner rather than later (as we would have had to save up the money had we needed to pay for the replacement part). We ordered the part and was told it would be a day or two for it to arrive so we scheduled the repair for the day after it was expected to arrive. Aware of the cold weather, our lack of heat, and our having several children, the office staff even offered to try to work us in the schedule a day earlier, provided the replacement part arrived earlier rather than later in the day. Upon the day of the repair, our technician Jon was again prompt and courteous. The repair was made (rather quickly too, given the level of complexity) and he showed me photos of the part that was replaced. I would both use North Winds as a service provider again and recommend them to others.

Had a great experience from the first phone call to the final installation of a new Fujitsu ductless A/C and heating unit. Looking forward to warm winters and cool summers upstairs in our new cape cod home. Thanks Northwinds!

This place is leaps and bounds different from other HVAC contractors in the way they run the business. The sales person was professional not pushy at all. It clearly shows that this place is run by someone who cares about their core values; kudos to the CEO. They (particularly, Chelsea) responded with alacrity when I had an emergency even though the sales person was on vacation. Chelsea was amazing in setting up the schedule, following through and making sure the installation was done. The quality of work is great. One aspect where I found the service wanting is their response/reaction time after the job is done; it did take me multiple emails and 4+ months to figure out the status of my extended warranty. If they fix this issue, I would not be surprised if they win many more laurels as one of the best businesses around in Lansing Area.

I have had the pleasure of working with Northwinds for at least 10+ years. They have installed a full system and maintained the equipment the entire time. Today, I needed a gas line installed for our new stove and once again, exceeded our expectations. The quality of work, the price and the service is always top notch. Thank you to the entire Northwinds Team for all you do and your amazing service, you never let us down. Bill did a great job today and special thanks to Phil & Chelsea for helping to get this all coordinated so quickly.

In the peak of summer heat in July 2017 our Air conditioning unit quit working after 25 years.called Northwinds heating and cooling to get a quote.Russ Kesterson (sales consultant) discussed in detail the advantages of newer heating and cooling units by Trane .he recommend the unit that would be appropriate for the size of our house .I find him to be very knowledgeable and well informed regarding the current innovation and trends in his field.this helped me a lot in making the right decision in which units to select.I also replaced my water heater at the same time.Chelsea (customer service representative )due to the nature of our situation ,she managed to schedule our installation at an earlier time.I was made aware that the installation process alone would take approximately 3 days.The installation team arrived promptly on the scheduled date.(Don,Lyle,Josh) they carefully covered the stairs with carpet protector sheets to protect the work area, cleaned it nicely afterwards.what was supposed to be a three day job ended just to 1.5 days due other crews pitching in to install all units.Don made sure that any access panel in the ceiling were neatly covered with vents for aesthetic purpose.The installation crews were very competent and professional . In a few days after installation, Russ came back to inspect the units and made sure everything is in good working order.I would definitely recommend Northwinds for any heating cooling needs.
