We are an independent, family-run business catering to the bicycling community - including commuters, messengers, recreational and serious cyclists alike. NYC Velo carries road, mountain, cyclocross, hybrid, singlespeed, and fixed gear bikes, and a wide selection of unique accessories and apparel.

I went here for a general service on my single speed. They have a special rate for a single speed of $50 which is great value. They got my bike running smoothly again. Really nice guys and super helpful.

It's a pretty good shop, they have a wide selection of stuff, are fast, friendly, and well-staffed (I always see someone at the front desk and 2 mechanics in the back, and they always ask if you need any help). However it's pretty expensive. It's not the first place I would choose to go because the prices are high. I go when I can't find the stuff I need at cheaper shops.

I purchased my single speed bike at NYC Velo about two years ago. The service is impeccable. I always have 20 questions and they answer them kindly and thoroughly. The tune ups are quick and free or inexpensive. They have a vary array of merch. Why go anywhere else?

Great shop and very helpful staffs, they really know what they are doing with my bike. It only took them more or less 10 min to fix the problem with the brake and even offered suggestions that can be of great help for me. The best bike shop I've visited.

I pumped up my tires here and the staff applauded me and told me I was among the most competent tire inflators they had ever seen. Having always admired bicycle mechanics I was extremely flattered by these remarks and have been drawing on the memory of them when I get unhappy.
