This place is a completely chaotic, unorganized, and unprofessional gym. We made an appointment for our 6 year old daughter to try out the pom poms dance class at 4pm on Friday. We were told that my daughter had to do the tryout first and the coach would see if she is suitable for the class. We showed up 15 mins early, but the front desk lady was busy trying to get the place ready. We saw there were 4 or so coaches in the gym area, but not sure which one was the coach for the pom poms class. Until 3:55pm, I had to grab the front desk lady's attention that we were there for our daughter's try out. All she cared at the time was to collect the $25 tryout fee and asked us to sit and wait in the parents' room. No coach came to introduce herself or no one even acknowledged us waiting in the parents' room. At 4:03pm, I had to go back out to the front desk and ask the lady where my daughter should go and who would be her coach. She then told me to let my daughter walk to the gym and point out a lady who was on her phone for a good chunk of time and said her name is coach Kat. My daughter went to coach Kat, but she was busy with her phone and didn't acknowledge her. My daughter just stood there and didn't know what to do. Until 4:10pm, coach Kat finally put down her phone and started her class without even saying hi to my daughter or asked for her name. Then there was a young girl who was an assistant and who did the majority of the teaching of the class and she too held a phone in her hand the whole time, using it to text throughout the class. Yes, they both, coach Kat and the assistant, held the phone and texted for most of the class. Once the class was done at 5:15pm, boom, another class started right at 5:15pm. We were waiting to talk to coach Kat, but she told the front desk lady that she is too busy with her 5:15pm class right now and she cannot talk. And she said she would call us at the end of the day, but they never did. This place is completely unorganized and coach Kat lacks giving attention to the kids. They seem to care more about the business side when they schedule classes one after another, without allowing the parents to talk and communicate with the coaches. I would recommend you to save your time and find a different place to try out if you care about your children. A completely unorganized and unprofessional business that doesn't seem to care for children!
We love OC Elite! My daughter is 4 and this is her first season at OCE. My daughter did try out as a 3 year old and decided to walk out during the tryout The owner spoke to me via texts on the same night and said she should wait another season. I was given back our registration fee and encouraged to try again the following season! I really appreciated how they looked at my daughter as more than just a dollar sign. They could have kept her and her monthly dues but they were honest and forthcoming. My daughter tried out this season 2023 and was READY. She LOVES going to practices. She is also taking a Pom/Tumbling class and enjoys that class. Her coach is Kat and she is sooo good with the girls. We have also used Llana for private lessons and those have been great! I love Ms. Dottie at the front desk and always make sure to stop and chat with her! There are over a 100 athletes but Ms. Dottie knows my daughter and her name and greets her each practice. All communication is done via an app and it’s easy to chat with our coach and to keep on top of important dates. I have to say my favorite thing about OCE is the community!! I’ve met the BEST moms. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The events and parties are a blast and we love the theme days and of course the MERCH!! Our family highly recommends OCE. You will not be disappointed
Great program, friendly staff, family atmosphere. They assist your child in developing new skills and perfecting them. They have a Great tumbling coach.
The classes are held outdoors at the moment so it's a bit of a cluster but they're doing the best they can to get the kids doing something they enjoy.
