Visited a friend who was there for rehab... facility was clean and bright, staff were attentive and concerned... The activities on the calendar seemed appropriate and there were plenty to choose from.

In our case, we had to move my mother immediately, she was being discharged from the hospital. Palm Terrace was the only nursing home with a bed willing to care for her needs. The other nursing homes we visited were very rundown and dirty. The staff at Palm Terrace are very kind and caring while working in a very stressful job with non-stop demands.  They are over-worked and at times short staffed.  Also, the system of dealing with Medicare Skilled Nursing to Medicare Supplemental to Medicaid, the orders change daily based on money which is out of their control.

I'd give this place a negative stars if they where available!  Poorest nursing facility...PERIOD!  Staff directors are cold & unsupportive of clients true needs!  My mother was there for 133 days until I personally came down to Florida and took her home!  They wanted her in to stay forever for the $ only! 
Refused to work therapy with her regularly so she could heal & recover! 
Their Dr is on payroll to keep patients there as long term patients & disregard the families needs!

The Manager José ! over maintenance Is a very rude and disrespectful person he speaks to People as if he is there owner . He has no respect for no one even the residents and their Family. He even call them stupid if their faces .

Ants in my mom room,  informed staff there's no one here to do anything and they don't have key to maintenance room. Showed staff that ants were coming from the ceiling outside her room, stated we would have to wait until tomorrow before anything could be done. The amount of money paid out to be in this type of facility I feel customer service should be at a higher standard.
