My go-to place when I visit Lakeland!

Pros: Great location (central to the mall and many restaurants), amazing staff (always accommodating and always someone available!), wonderful rooms (spacious, well-kept, comfortable beds), small fitness room, outdoor pool (well maintained), free continental breakfast, pet-friendly.

Staff was very nice but the hotel is a little run down. Loved the size of the room and space (Executive King). Sofa bed was basically springs covered with a sheet. My daughter slept on the couch without pulling it out and was more comfortable. Good thing she's short because it was a loveseat, not a couch. Saturday night when we got back to the hotel at around 12:30am, there was absolutely no where to park. The hotel manager had to go next door to the gas station to ask if I could park there. I understand it's a pet friendly hotel but the dogs of the people next to us barked every time someone walked past their room. Breakfast was decent. I enjoyed sausage gravy and biscuits on Saturday morning. They had 3 flavors of creamer and I mixed it in my coffee. My daughters enjoyed bagels and fruit. Sunday morning I think someone forgot to turn on the crockpot with the gravy in it because I went down to breakfast at 8am (breakfast starts at 7am) and the gravy was cold. They were totally out of vanilla creamer and I had to ask for her to get a new Hazelnut. Again, my rating may have been lower if all of the staff weren't so nice. Nicole and Russ were friendly and helpful and I forgot the name of the man that had to go to the gas station and ask about parking. If they went through and did a renovation and maybe spoke to IHOP next door about sharing parking, it would help things a lot.

Nice stay, people were nice. Construction during our stay, but was not a bother kept halls clean and noise to a minimum. A few years ago they had moldy breakfast breads, but not the last time we stayed in 2017. There were new management and employees in 2017 which I believe was the reason for the change in upkeep and breakfast.
