This is the last time we will ever shop with performance. Purchased a bike last year when I was in Albuquerque and everything was great. Moved to Austin and rode the bike less than a dozen times when I decided to return it due to not liking the disc brakes. Never been in an accident and no scratches. Didn’t have the original receipt but it was under my husbands account so we had proof that we purchased it from performance. Called the store to verify that we could return it without the physical copy and they said yes. Bring it in the next day and the “used to be assistant manager but now mechanic” said that’s not the case and couldn’t take a return. Didn’t offer any problem solving period. Then I called corporate and it took them literally one minute to email me the original receipt. Performance called today said that they will give us almost $200 less then what we paid for it for “tune up and wash.” And the greatest thing? Now they don’t need the receipt because they can look up the order. Clearly there is no communications on the rules and they wreck you for something any other shop would do for a fraction of the cost. Needless to say, we will take our business elsewhere and make sure our friends know what a ripoff this place is.

Performance usually has lower prices than my other favorite bike shops. Items are frequently on sale. The sales are real, btw; they don't mark up prices to make the sale price seem low. Forte brand items I've owned are of good or better quality. (Forte is one of Performance's store brands.)

Went in to purchase a bike for my teenage son this weekend, which we did... but not without multiple attempts by the cashier to up sell me some BS membership and service plans. Even after politely declining, he continued pushing their scam. Now my inbox is getting spam from them and there's no way to unsubscribe (the unsubscribe link takes you to their Instagram page). Will not be going back.

These people are just great. Not one, but each and everyone. I remember Steve he was very helpful. Wonder how these people are so kind and nice.
It's always a great experience visiting Performance Bicycles. Thank you and keep doing the good work.
