Best pet shop in the neighborhood. The staff is attentive and capable. Petco does a great job at training their groomers. My dog has skin allergy and need to take baths twice a week and they offered me a special price on the service without me asking as they realized that the extra expense could be a load. 

The shop staffers are also very competent and willing to help. Food recommendations, gear suggestions are always spot on. 

And it is nice to have your pet greater by his name on your second visit there. Shows how much they care. 

Definitely the pet shop for Yorkville.

The manager here is RACIST. He’s pudgy, Hispanic (Ironically...), and probably in his mid to late 20’s. What can I say? He’s terrible. Everytime I have the misfortune of being attended by him I am interrogated and forced to show him pictures of cages and pet supplies previously purchased before I can purchase any pet. Very rude... especially considering the fact that I have witnessed on several occasions other people (White Customers) purchasing the same pets without any questions asked at all! It’s so difficult for me to purchase pets from this store because of the extreme interrogation, it’s very unprofessional. I obviously wouldn’t spend $600 on two pet birds just to bring them home and mistreat them. He’s very ignorant and racist, the staff here really needs to be changed. The cashiers are rude as well, very grumpy and unenthusiastic. Oh, and this one time I wanted to purchase a pet chameleon from here and I left empty handed because I didn’t have a picture of the tank I bought on my phone to show the manager. Also, everytime I asked him for feeder fish or crickets for my pets he would purposely go and attend other people first when they obviously came to him after I did. I hate going here now because of this. Petco please change the staff at this location, plenty of money is lost because of their ignorance and racism, particularly from the idiot manager. Like seriously... I’m not buying these pets to take them home and put them on the damn floor! OBVIOUSLY I have cages and supplies ready for them at home. Hope he gets fired.

Would highly recommend visiting this petco location if your a pet owner. 5 stars is not enough. I recieved more then great customer service. Will definitely be heading back for my future pet needs ! ! !

I love this Petco. The groomers take great care of my dog Cookie. They are dog whisperers. They clearly love animals. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Really neat and employees are super nice! I came in looking for anything that would help cure my dog Uno of his bad diarrhea. Shout out to the employee Karen who suggested a Pumpkin Purée and Anti-Diarrhea liquid that worked absolute wonders the next day! Thank you!!! :)
