Loved this spot! We were in town visiting for work and wanted to have something local and this was perfect!! We had the best sandwiches stuffed with fries. Freshly prepared and delicious. The bread was soft and fresh. I had half of a capicola and half of the burger. Both were so yummy! Definitely visit if you are in town. Service was so friendly!
Good food. A little bit of a wait to get in. Our server was good.big sandwiches with added flavor from the French fries and slaw on it. The pastrami was really good. I would have preferred my bread toasted/grilled but it was still good.
Great cocktail, great environment, great origin story, mediocre food. I had a roast beef sandwich, it was just okay. The drunk duck cocktail, however, was awesome. If you are wondering about the origin story, here you go - their signature sandwich was made for truckers who don't have time to sit down and have a 3 item meal fries, slaw, and sandwich. So, they made a sandwich that has fries and cole slaw inside the sandwich.
We went here on Mother's day and had a great time. Loved the vibe, this place is full of life. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious - reminded me of the home made Sandwiches my mom used to make. We will definitely come back!
Can't say food was amazing, but it used fresh ingredients and well balanced. You go here more for a sentimental value than just the food in itself. We had a lot of fun and the servers were amazing!
Great service and delicious sandwiches. My friend always recommended to visit Primanti bros. while in Pittsburg and there was one near my hotel at Market Square. I sat on the counter looking at the grilled. Greeted by the cook and served by everyone one else. I had the Pastrana with provoke topped with generous amount of fries, coleslaw and two tomatoes. Delicious. I had two sandwiches. Don’t forget the pickle and a local beer
Pro anti Bros. Restaurant and Bar is one place in Pittsburgh that you probably don’t need to check the Google reviews for… This sandwich restaurant is world renowned for their sandwiches and has solidified its stance as a PA staple. I never would have expected such a delicious sandwich with French Fries on it from a place that sounds like just another Italian restaurant. They have Iron Brew on tap, and they are conveniently located a short walk from PNC Park. Definitely do not miss a meal here if you’re catching a Pirates game! The staff is quick and attentive, but beware of a long wait if there’s a big event in the city!
This was amazing. It's always fun seeing the employees cook in front of you. The Reuben was really good. At first, I questioned if the French fries were necessary, but they absolutely are. They add a perfect amount of flavor and texture without feeling like you're just eating French fries on a sandwich. The staff was friendly and also checked on me. Very different from restaurants who have one person take care of you while everyone else ignores you. Will come again if in the srea
My First Primanti Bros sandwich. Did the PB Ruben. Well they didn't disappoint. That was a fantastic sandwich. I don't understand how someone can make such an amazing french fry! I have been hearing from coworkers for years about this place. So glad I finally made it. Thanks for a great experience.
Great spot for the classic Pittsburgh sandwich shop. Definitely upgrade the meat as there isn't a lot on there. Wasn't aware that everything has fries on it, even the salad!
