Went here to watch the world cup and it was a great time. Lots of food and drink options and service was fantastic. The waitress was super friendly and helpful despite there being 12 of us. The food was great too, super flavorful with lots of different options to try. Had veggie options as well for those who need. Lots of big screens to watch the game so definitely check this place out.
We had a fantastic night. We ended up being put in a little private seating area, which made it that much better! Cons: service can be a little slow. We waited a while for water/drinks and to place our order, but the food didn’t take super longer. It is a little pricey for some items. My friend’s pork chop was dry and even after it was ordered again, it still wasn’t cooked as she desired and the dish didn’t seem quite as described. The Chicken Tings tacos were not bad, but weren’t special either. Pros: everything else. The other food was delicious! Duck nachos were beyond delicious and the fries are addictive. Hot and fresh and nice portions. The vibe was vibrant and fun and felt like a real “night out”. The manager came over to apologize for the overcooked pork chop, which was nice. Waitress was very nice also. Overall I loved it and will definitely be back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh! Their beers and cocktails are phenomenal, and the pork chop is the best pork chop I’ve ever had. It has this sweet glaze that compliments it so well. I always get this when I go here. Definitely recommend the tuna also! Service is friendly and the facility is very clean. Pretty atmosphere with skylights and TVs if you’re a sports fan.
Had a very lovely night out with husband and friends! The place looked very cool with the decor. Our waiter was fantastic! So friendly and wonderful. He was attentive, fast, organized, and treated us so well. Front of house on the other hand was a little condescending. But don't let that deter you. Food was really good! I had the chicken tacos which were a little dry. I highly recommend the queso and buffalo dips, so creamy! And the warm caramel cookie? Delightful. Overall highly recommend~
A unique find with some traditional foods! Definitely worth trying, so far I’ve been here twice and both times were great. The meatloaf itself was delicious, the sauce was good but wasn’t the best, I believe the sauce is an IPA blend if I read it correctly. The loaded potato flatbread was oddly satisfying and was not expecting it to be. Prices are mid range for what you get but that makes sense with it being in the city.
Really good place, huge tap selection. The vanilla porter was really good. We had the duck nachos and the crab fondue. The feta cheese on the fondue gave it a good taste. The pork chop was really good also, it came with a sweet maple glazed cinnamon apples that paired well with the pork.Recommended dishesDuck Nachos
We had a group of 10 ladies for brunch on a Saturday. City Works was the only restaurant in the area that would take our reservation a week ahead of time. I must say, I am so glad it worked out this way! Our server, David, was wonderful! He was welcoming, organized and fun! He recognized that we were on our way to a show and made sure we enjoyed ourselves but had plenty of time to make our show. Our drinks were plentiful and food delicious! I was the only one that had been there before but I know that we will ALL be back!
Great food, great atmosphere. Decent prices. Drinks were fantastic. Got the Lumber Jack Old Fashioned, highly recommended for an after dinner drink. Dave, our server, was great as well. Will be back
Great experience! We stopped here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and were cheered up quickly by our server, James. The big fluorescent red head as he called himself. Food was amazing and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that weekend brunch was served until 3pm. Had a delicious mimosa flight. Kids meals were delicious and breakfast flatbread was awesome. We would definitely come back. Lots of TVs to entertain the kids while we sat and enjoyed the great atmosphere.
Last visited 11/17/2021. Working in Pittsburgh for the week and staying downtown I went on the search for something good! So I did some Yelp'ing and landed on this place! Allow me to tell you how things went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right downtown but set away from the business district nestled between in what I like to call "restaurant row" is this gem. There isn't much to the exterior of this place besides some outdoor seating, but inside is where it's at. It's HUGE in here! Like, unbelievably spacious and open. The hosts stand is right at the front doors, but then you take a few steps down into the bar area. If you keep walking straight or to the right you enter the dining area which stretches all the way back toward the street where there are giant windows in order for you to people-watch properly. Lol. I chose to sit at the bar and hang out! It was so lively in here and seemed like such a great place to gather after work or even have celebrations! Service: Marissa, Marty and Vanasia took care of me. Something seemed to be bothering Marty so that's why the other 2 ladies stepped in. They were my team of bartenders who were friendly, flirty, smiley and just made me feel so welcomed and comfortable hanging out there. Food: Throughout my dining experience here I had the chance to check out 4 different beers, all on tap and I must say their on-tap menu is extensive. My favorite was the Dragon's Milk though. Thick, oat-y, a bit heavy, a lil' sweet and most-of-all, strong. For dinner I went with the BBQ Platter. This consisted of grilled corn, a kielbasa-like sausage I can't remember exactly, just going off of my pictures/memory, some pulled pork, smoked ribs and smoked chicken wings served with a side of beans as well. I must say, it was a surprise seeing they had such a platter in the middle of a downtown like this. Usually food like that is reserved for shacks sitting out in the middle of nowhere. Lol. It wasn't the best BBQ I've ever had, but it was quite solid. With the platter came a side of butter for the corn, a dijon honey mustard and some other type of BBQ sauce. I enjoyed the sauce that was actually served on the ribs over what was served on the side. Value: Dragon's Milk Beer = $8.50 Golden Monkey Beer = $5.50 Sour Monkey Beer = $7.50 Troegenator Beer = $5.00 BBQ Platter = $29.00 I think this place offers great value for what you can experience here. The lovely atmosphere, the great service, the good food and yeah! Lol. I think this place is a good value. In conclusion, now that I know this is a chain of restaurants, I don't have to visit another one in a different location. I definitely recommend checking this place out for yourself though!
