Great brunch spot with all you can drink mimosas for 15 and all you can drink/make your own bloody Mary bar for $18 I think? Lots of great brunch options that were very good. Waitress was super kind and helpful. Food was very yummy and definitely hit that brunch craving everyone had. It gets busy here but definetly check it out when you can!
I really enjoyed my experience at this place. I came in here after a Pittsburgh Pirates' game about a month ago. You had to walk up some stairs to get to the bar. Since I was not that hungry, I just ordered a mixed drink and a beer, both of which were quite good. All of the food that was being served to other people all looked really good though. They had a good variety of both foods and drinks on their menu. It also had a pretty nice vibe. It was very clean and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall, this was a very nice bar. Even though I did not eat here, I do recommend this place.
I really enjoyed my meal at The Yard! A friend and I stopped in on a Friday night as we were staying in the hotel across Market Square made reservations ahead of time. We were sat quite close to another party, and it was very loud, which was to be expected. We each ordered a cocktail, both came quickly and were delicious! I got the Rum Forrest Rum and he got a Risky Hibiscus - highly recommend both. We placed an order for the pub pretzels app which also came very quickly. The mustard and cheese that accompanied the pretzel were amazing! I wish the portions would’ve been a bit larger though. Then for our mains, he ordered a Mac Attack and I the Buffy the Mac Attack Slayer. I got a side salad in place of the soup. The Cesar salad dressing was very good. I will say, the Buffalo sauce was on the spicier side, so maybe get the regular Mac Attack if that isn’t your thing.
This was our first time visiting the Yard. The food was decent. Lots of grilled cheese options! The beer list is really good, even if you’re a beer aficionado like me. Our server was very nice and attentive. My only problem with the place was that the tables seemed pretty beat up, and they really need to up their music playlist. The Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls mix didn’t seem to fit the vibe! But all else was great.
Out an about in downtown Pittsburgh and found this spot. Overall good experience even with the football crowd watching the game. Burger was prepared well and had good flavor. Lots of finger food here so make sure napkins are close by. Solid choice
Great place with some of the best gourmet grill cheese sandwich with a twist to be had. These are not your normal grill cheese. They have many choices from Buffalo chicken to Philly cheese steak grill cheeses. They all come with a side of to.atoe basil soup, great for those cold days.
The Yard is a fun eatery with good food. The music is pretty loud in there so not the best for a large group to all hear each other. I tried the it’s always sunny in Philadelphia grilled cheese which was pretty good. The tomato soup and pretzels for appetizers were the best part in my opinion. And the beer I got Heavy As Liquid, a wonderful sweet porter. And I was glad I substituted the chips for the salad, just to keep it a little healthy. Our server was wonderful and very attentive
This was my second time to this place and it was every bit as good as my first. I got the perogie grilled cheese with their homemade tomato soup, which is excellent. Definitely a smaller place which means it's more crowed but overall the service was good. I plan on coming back here again!Food: 5/5
Good place and good food… fresh grilled sandwich and soup … enjoyed it.. however service is so slow, they seems to be understaffed after covid era, needs some improvements in service, almost waited for 40mins after ordering for food…
30 min wait, they text you when table is ready. I had Hall of Fame grilled cheese, Slap ya mama. Good but messy. Came with small taste of tomato soup which is homemade and chips. We didn't care for the chips as they were hard and greasy almost as if they were double fried. Pretzel appetizer was very good.
