The people that work and manage this store are some of the most inconsiderate and unhelpful people if you get on their nerves. They encourage you to ask questions, but get upset when you ask them. I cannot understand why they still work there if they all seem to hate their job so much. On top of that, all of the merchandise and products that they sell are marked up to a price that is just unreasonable, for no reason except to exploit their customers. I DO NOT recommend ever going in there for anything except their lamp repair. If you just look up what you're wanting to buy, I guarantee you can find it online and not feed into their disgusting business

Quality service in an old fashioned way. You won't find a place like this anywhere. Nor will you find such an expansive stock, one that will have a remedy for just about any lighting and electrical issue.

Broad selection of electrician's tools and parts. Beautiful fans and lamps. Racist electricians in the back. Helpful sales staff just disinterested in selling to anyone but the biggest most expensive house. Went in today to ask about a $600 ceiling fan and they weren't interested in attempting to find me a matching product. This is probably the third time I went in for something they're listed as a vendor for and walked out disappointed.

Surprisingly good selection of electrical hardware, great service. I needed a very large weatherproof outdoor electrical box . I got blank stares from sales people at Independent Electric Supply and Home Depot. At Riverside, the guy at the counter knew exactly what I wanted and exactly where to find it. Looking at their stock, I saw more than one of the box I needed, and multiple smaller sizes on the shelf. Price was reasonably in line with what I could have bought on line.
