The Roberts Riverwalk Hotel is a historic upscale boutique hotel celebrated for its guest service and features 108 elegantly appointed guestrooms, including six unique room types and tri-level Penthouse Suites. Most guestrooms feature 12-foot high ceilings, spectacular Detroit River views, executive workspace, and free high-speed wireless internet.

Concierge desk is available/combined with front desk. Back hotel entrances locked at 11pm daily/front entrance remains accessible. The hotel contains over 8,000 sq. ft. of meeting banquet space and is conveniently located minutes away from downtown Detroits entertainment and sports attractions and overlooks the Detroit River and Canadian coastlines.

The hotel has an older feel. The front desk clerk was really accommodating since we arrived late and even though there were maintenance issues. The house keeping staff was really nice and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable. The view out our room window was amazing and relaxing as you could see the river walk and past that you could see Canada.

First off, the bad. It took them over 20 minutes to wait on me for check in. There was a gentleman ahead of me who was having problems and even though there were five people helping him they couldn't spare one of them to help me. Then, their system was down and they couldn't tell which rooms were available so they had to send someone to see if a room was empty and ready for guests. Then the room they gave us apparently wasn't ready for guests as our room keys wouldn't work. They had to get a maintenance man to come fix our door. Then the bathroom door knob fell off. And the maintenance man had to fix it. Our room didn't have a wastebasket. Now for the good. It's an attractive hotel and the room was nicely appointed and quite clean. The bed was very comfortable. We think that the value was very good as the price was quite reasonable.

The Hotel sits on the Riverwalk and it is beautiful outside. The inside not so clean. Checked in with a big group one of the rooms they given us still had old sheets, towels and garbage all over the room. One room they gave us when we walked in there was someone laying in bed... The staff informed us they all were new. They had just fired their old staff. Took almost 30 minutes for them to check us in. The front desk people not friendly at all. And to sum it all up.. There were only 2 housekeepers when we first checked in. Hopefully they will get it together this is truly a Beautiful Place.

The outside bueatiful. But once you walk inside not friendly at all. Over this past weekend I stayed in a hot room that was suppose to be a upgrade because my first room was still dirty with trash all over it. The staff was never seen. The air conditioner in the room never work. The ice machine on the floor did not work and had mold on it. The room service only had one person cooking taking orders and washing dishes. I truly feel like i need to be compensated for staying there with my family under those conditions. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone after this.

The room was decent, but very cold (couldn't warm up past 67F) and there were cobwebs on the door frames. Normally this isn't a big deal, but I'm concerned about what is not cleaned if the highly visible door frame cobwebs are not removed. Additionally, we had to wait 2 hours for our room past check in time. We kept getting told they're cleaning it right now and it will only be 10 minutes. When a complaint was made we were given the excuse that "this isn't my normal facility" and upon asking for a manager were told "if there is one I don't know where they are at." We found a number and called to complain, but never got a response to our message. When we finally were told our room was ready we went upstairs to find it still being cleaned/inspected. Additionally, the ice maker was broken on our floor (3rd floor) and looking at these reviews has been for a long time. I ran into another guest that said "we got here yesterday and it's been nothing but problems since." Would not recommend this property to anyone else.
