Excellent experience at the Foundation Hotel. Stunning restored  building, and well appointed rooms. The Apparatus Room is popular among locals and tourists alike. The room itself mixes contemporary design with the historical features of the building. Valet parking on the pricier side at $32 but the valet staff and hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. The hotel offers a free car service for travel within 3 miles, which is great. It is only offered until 1030pm due to staffing limitations. If you are a light sleeper, I would suggest an atrium as opposed to a city viewing room. Great experience, staff were amazing, would return.

Went for a hotel tour and dinner. The remodel is beautiful for this space. The hotel rooms remind you of walking into the county building... a office building but you will be pleasantly surprised when seeing the remodeled rooms. This space is very 1920s inspired with very masculine designs. 

The rooms are very Detroit inspired and all products are local or Michigan made. If you are looking for a nontraditional luxury experience this place will be right up your alley!

The hotel was great. Nice big room. Executive King. Nice big shower. Comfortable bed. Wonderful sheets. Very hip scene at the bar. Good food and drinks. Definitely going back.

The service was very attentive. From the valet parking, to carrying my bags to my room, to the bartenders serving drinks and being attentive to the server asking me if I needed anything because she saw me sit down on one of the couches in the morning. 

Payment and receipt was streamlined and everything was very simple and easy. Never let that go. It’s tough to find companies let alone hotel services that do half of this lately. Bring back Detroit one day at a time. You all are doing great.

My fiance and visited to view the event space as a potential venue for our wedding. The remodel maintains many of the classic elements of the old Detroit Fire HQ while bringing the modern aesthetics you want.
The Apparatus Room was spectacular! We visited on an evening with a special (albeit pricey) menu, but it was an exceptional dining experience. Our server (Mallory) was great, extremely helpful suggesting many menu options with perfectly matched cocktails. A wonderful addition to the downtown revitalization.
