Robertsville State Park "Robs" you of a good time. If I could, I would give it a negative 5 stars. I can't put my hate for this place into words. Let me walk you through my whole experience. As soon as we entered the area of the park, we were met with a bunch of people that looked like they were from the movie "Deliverance". We ignored this and continued on our drive. We made it and we were disappointed to see there was no way to fish. On our way back up to the car, we first heard and later saw a man having intercourse with his dog. My little sister had to see this. Also, we found a bong and countless heroin needles spread out on the trails. By then we were running. If you have a weak stomach, stop reading here. A woman was dripping her feces down her legs, right on the side of our car. I kicked her out of the way and we flew ou like the Dukes of Hazard. Do not go here! This is not a joke! I felt terrorized and threatened the whole experience! I wish I could forget it all, but I can't. Do yourself a favor. Don't even say the name of Robertsville Park, or it might just rob you of your life.

Love going to this little retreat that is relatively close to St. Louis. Stayed there in a 23 ft travel trailer a few weekends ago and it was an absolutely perfect weekend getaway. Sites can be a little tight to get into. I would not recommend Site #3 for anyone with an RV. It is a pull through basic site and is quite narrow with a steep grade into and out of the site. I did not use the bathrooms this time, but every time I have, they have been very clean. The park has two walking trails that are very scenic and not challenging, and has excellent river access with fishing as well. There is a Dollar General just a couple minutes away if you forget anything. Last but not least, our campground hosts were AMAZING! Very pleasant, talkative, and helpful. Can't wait to go back for another campout before the weather gets too cold!

I recently discovered Robertsville State Park and found it to be enjoyable. I visited with my mother. Upon arrival we went to the main building but no one was working there at the time. There were a few parked cars near the building but we never saw anyone who worked there. During our stay we only ever saw one lady who was walking her dogs. Maybe just the day of the week we went was slower. We walked the Spice Bush trail. Not sure when the last time someone came through that particular trail because in the pathway lay spider webs. So we had to take a stick and gently detach them from the pathway. All in all a nice State Park and I would recommend a visit.
