Bought my wife's engagement ring: 1/2 karat diamond with a platinum band and crown.  A few years I was showing my daughter how a magnet doesn't stick to certain metals and guess what?  The magnet stuck right to the crown part of the ring.  Took it to Rogers and Holland's and a manager type told me it was normal to weld the crown to the ring with a different material.  I checked around off and on with Jewelers about what I had been told and none agreed with RH; a couple of them also did not like how the diamond had been mounted.  I didn't pursue the matter anymore until on night my wife called me in tears: the crown and diamond was missing from here ring.  After days off searching off and on it was found in the front hall carpet.  I told RH about the problem and all they offered was too re-weld the crown to the ring with the same unknown metal for a fee: no apology, refund or anything was offered, I suppose because they already made their thousands of dollars off of me.  So now I have sold the platinum ring to put toward something from someone I can trust, unfortunately nobody will buy the crown because a magnet sticks to it: maybe the whole crown isn't platinum, I don't know...

Well I first went to resize the ring (which I really loved it, it's a beautiful ring). They said it will be ready on Saturday or Sunday and when we called it was not ready for either of the two days (so that's why I'm not leaving 5 starts). However, they did have it ready for Monday. Which was not too late (although it's better to always have the things on time for your costumer). They resized it to my very small size and looks perfect. So the overall experience was good. I was very nervous when I read all the comments but gladly I didn't have any big issue.

Overall great experience! We went in there looking at rings and told them that we were just looking today. Claire, our associate was great and we never once felt pressured to buy. She showed us lots of options until we found what we LOVED. All in all, she helped us find a ring we both love and got us a great deal. Will definitely be going back and recommending to others!
