I have been watching a vehicle they have had in their lot for over 5 months. The van had been sitting so long that it would not start, there were spider webs inside, and I even killed a spider while sitting in the vehicle for 20 minutes waiting on Ricky the manager to come back out in the heat. (he never did) I caught them in several lies and no remorse was shown by any of the managers. The vehicle is only worth $18,500 according to NADA and they wanted $23,612 saying it was a great deal. Do your research before you ever buy and please steer clear of this place!!!!! These guys give Toyota a bad name! Their commercials are complete lies, the only families they care about is their own. Stay away! UPDATE: Despite their comments below I was never contacted by anyone from the dealership and I highly suspect they never actually followed through with any of the other disgruntled potential customers on these ratings either. We ended up purchasing a new Toyota minivan 4 hours away at a completely different dealership and I am proud to say Ronnie Ward's name is not on the back of it! The minivan I originally looked at here is still on the lot. Surprise. Surprise.

Ronnie Ward has a great staff willing to find the very best deals & I can't stress it enough just how well these great folks are, "They focus on their customers, not on their own pockets." When the time comes, I will return for my next purchase.

This place doesn't even deserve a star to start off. My car got a recall on it and Toyota sent me a letter in the mail saying I needed to being it in and they would fix it for free and everything. That letter also said they would give me a rental untill my car was fixed.. Well after I dropped off my car and I went to the service desk to ask for the rental, this worker pulled me outside. Then, some older guy in a orange shirt basically jumped all over me because I had asked for a rental. He said that they didn't give those out to just anyone, and that IF they did, or would, it was because the car would take over a day to fix. Now, I'm a college student in Ruston and my family lives over an hour and a half away from me. Lucky my roommate was home and he came and got me. This is the last place you want to go to. Spend the extra gas and go to a different dealership.

Lackadaisical approach to business. You have to check after them to make sure they've done everything you asked for because of poor follow-through from their service department. Work has always been competently performed, but I don't like having to go back over my vehicle and make sure that important maintenance or repairs were addressed as I requested.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CROOKS!! My family's experience with this dealership has been beyond horrible. We've been in the market for a new minivan for about a year now and regularly check the local car lots to see if they have any new inventory. This Stealership had a Honda Odyssey on their lot that we had been watching for months. When my wife went to talk to them about this vehicle about a month ago, the van had been sitting so long that the battery was dead and it had spider webs in it. She actually killed a spider in the van while she was waiting for the salesman to return with jumper cables! Our insurance company looked up the NADA value and told us that they couldn't insure the van for more than $18500 but these jokers wanted almost $25000 for it. After getting the van started with the jumper cables, the "salesman" who ended up being the Used Cars Sales Manager, gave my wife the keys to the van, told her that he had to get something inside and would be right back, and then left my pregnant wife waiting out in the heat for 20 minutes with a heat index of over 100 degrees that day. Our current van is 15 years old and has 182000 miles on it. We NEEDED a new van so she wasn't going to just leave. So finally some other yokel comes out to talk to her. She asks where the other guy went and he tells her, "Oh, well he's the Used Car Sales Manager and he's got stuff to do." He was rude and kept pushing my wife with high pressure sales tactics. The van had been sitting on their lot for 6 months and is still there today. After she wrote an email to the general manager, he gave us his "best offer", which was a lousy $800 off of the original price. But we needed a minivan so we had to make a decision. We decided to go somewhere else. We just bought a 2015 Toyota Sienna from Lake Charles Toyota, which is 200 miles away. Lake Charles Toyota didn't pressure us. Lake Charles Toyota's salespeople and finance personnel weren't rude. The vehicle was a fresh trade-in that they COULD have certified, but they asked us first if we wanted it certified and we told them that we didn't so they didn't do it. Certifying the van we bought would have increased the price by $5000 and they didn't do it because they wanted us to be happy with our purchase. Lake Charles Toyota made a customer. Ronnie Ward Toyota was just trying to make a sale, regardless of whether it was what was good for our family or not. Lake Charles Toyota offered us an extended warranty for our new van, but we told them that we didn't want it because we would have to take it to Ronnie Ward Toyota for warranty repairs and we don't trust them. I had a 2003 Toyota RAV4 with a laundry list of Technical Service Bulletins and recalls and Ronnie Ward's service department denied them all, was completely ignorant of a recall that affected millions of engines across four different models, and even told me that my engine "sounded fine" when it was sputtering and running rough. They also buy aftermarket parts from the local Autozone and charge people for Toyota OEM parts. Long Story Short: Their entire team is incompetent and rude, they price their cars according to fairy tale numbers, and their service department doesn't know anything about their only product line and even if you give them proof they will deny it and refuse to fix your car. IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
