We used RV Sales 101 for service of our Travel Trailer for 2 years during the warranty period. The service experience was in general the worst I've ever had for any vehicle repair, much less an RV. Just this past month is an example, but it was typical of each of the 4 to 5 repair visits. We left our unit there for over 3 weeks, to fix one electrical problem; namely the batteries would not charge when connected to our vehicle. On 2 previous visits they had attempted but failed to fix this. When we arrived to pick up the unit before starting an 11-day trip, the unit was out front with the shore power connected, which in itself should not have been the case if they had insured the batteries were now charging and charged. When I attempted to raise the jack to attach the hitch, there was no power at all. I had to discover this myself. After they scurried around trying to figure it out, they told me it was a problem with my truck, even though I told them the Ford truck dealer had checked this out. When I suggested they work on it some more, the president of RV Sales 101 himself told me that the tech (they have only one) had other work that needed to be done for another customer. I was forced to take the unit. On the recommendation of the RV manufacturer customer service, I had the battery checked at another RV service center. They discovered the source of the problem in 10 minutes and made the simple repair in less than 1 hour for minimum charge. I will never use RV Sales 101 again for any reason. I called them twice to explain my experience before writing this review, and received no call back.

I would not under any circumstances bring my RV back to the service department at this dealership. They have only one repair tech and he is a disaster. Here is my tale of woe: I brought my almost new Lance 825 truck camper in for some minor warranty repairs on a Thursday. They said they were very busy, but could get to it the following week, so I dropped it off. On Friday of the next week, I phoned to see if it was ready. The gal at the desk said yes, come pick it up. Since it's an hour drive to Gilroy for me, I asked her if she could double check with the technician. She did; it was all set. So I gathered a few things and arrived in Gilroy a couple of hours later. You can imagine my surprise when I got to my RV and saw the tech on a step ladder at the side of the camper, drill in hand. "Oh, I forgot that you also wanted the DVD player to work on the TV." I glanced inside -- the DVD player was out of the wall, the microwave was dismounted and sitting on the table. This did not look good. OK, I'll wait. Fifteen or twenty minutes later I was told it was ready. I went inside and that's when I realized what a disaster had taken place. Among other things, one of the cabinet doors -- which had functioned perfectly when I had dropped it off -- was now dangling from the hinges. The tech mentioned that he had "tightened the hinges." In fact, the exact opposite had happened. Somehow he had stripped the door hinge screws in the wood. Why he was even touching that door is beyond me. I also noticed that all of the screws mounting the microwave had been burred when he used his power drill to remount it. And many of the nearby surfaces had been dinged and marred as the screws came tight, the drill bit popped out, and then danced on the finished surfaces. It made me sick to look at. A brand new camper. He then told me that he had installed a new A/V cable from the DVD player to the TV to get it to work. I verified that it worked, but at this point I was in shock and just wanted to get out of there. I loaded the camper and drove home. After settling my nerves for a day or two, I decided to take a look at exactly what he had done. To install the new cable, he had gone up on the roof, removed the vent cover for the refrigerator, cut away the bug screen (which he did not replace) and started drilling holes in the interior walls, buggering them out with his drill to make room for the connectors. He then put in the new cable, laying it right on top of the refrigerator's heat exchanger. So now the DVD player is connected to the TV, with the cost being: a broken cabinet door, a missing bug screen, some very sloppy holes through the internal walls, a new hole in the wall of the cab-over to pass the cable to the TV, the black paint scrapped off every microwave mounting screw, all of which were now burred, and a number of scratches in the woodwork. On a brand new camper. Now here's the thing: There was no need for the new cable to ever be installed! I knew that there was an HDMI cable connected at the factory between the DVD player and the TV. What I had expected was for him to tell me that I had missed a setting on the player and that would get things working. Instead, without any consultation I got the monstrosity that he foisted on me. So I did a little troubleshooting myself. It only took me 15 or 20 minutes to find the real problem -- the internal HDMI connector on the wall plate behind the TV had been mangled as it had been installed and that had caused the connection to fail! Using a new cable to bypass the damaged one had the connection working flawlessly. (This does not speak well for Lance quality control, but that's another story.) The bottom line here is that this service department is a disaster, to be avoided at all cost.

As mentioned below, yes - this place felt lazy, but at the same time I didn't came here to buy anything - I just wanted to look out for truck campers and that place was absolutely fine for that purpose. If you want to take a look at truck campers - this place will work for you.
