Great place to grab some authentic cuisine. The food is pretty tasty and I always leave full and satisfied. The menu is reasonably priced. Not too many options for veggie or vegan people, but there's a half dozen entrees that'll work. Good beverage selection. Near a bunch of bars, so park near here and go grab some brews after.

Sameem is a good place to get a taste of the Middle-East. They have a great sampler in the "Mid-Eastern Feast" which I would recommend for anyone coming here. I went with my wife and we ordered the feast for 2 and it was a great appetizer that lets you try a bit of everything. Honestly, this was probably my favorite dish as it was all amazing, especially the homemade chutney (I could of drank it, so good!) We also tried the chicken curry and the Mixed Grill which came with a beef, chicken, and lamb kabob. These were both good but I kept going back to nibble on the the appetizers.

So this review is 2 months late, but so worth remembering and leaving a review. First, I've never been to this place before or actually any restaurant that serves Indian or Afghani-type food. Our son was getting married in St. Louis and we live a few hours from there so I had to do the research from the computer to find a place for the wedding rehearsal dinner. It took a couple of months to figure what type of food and then the restaurant. I read just about all the reviews and most were positive and quite a few that were negative, so I was quite hesitant but booked the place anyway. I had talked and emailed the owners of the restaurant quite a few times asking if it could hold our party of 26, a set menu of what would be served, and the amount of food. They were so helpful about all this. I had read a few complaints about not getting enough food to feed people. Let's just say that fear was definitely not true for us and in fact we had an overabundance of food and they even encouraged us to take it home. My sister and brother-in-law were too late to make it to the rehearsal dinner so we had 3 huge containers to take back for them along with other guests there who also took leftovers home! The people (along with my sister and brother-in-law) all raved about the amount but most of all the taste, atmosphere, and the family that runs this place. This was our first time of having a rehearsal dinner and I wanted everything to be perfect and cozy and I have to say this place far exceeded our expectations! In fact, one of the guests at the dinner said when she heard the rehearsal was being held here she was so excited because it was her favorite place to eat and she couldn't wait to come! I cannot rave enough about Sameem Restaurant because of how thrilled we were but also how the family kept checking on us and others making sure everything was fine, and coming up with a place to put the alcohol we brought in with us. They do not serve it but that was no problem at all since the guests did it themselves. I don't know who those other reviewers are who made bad comments about this place but I suppose it may be the competition or just some people who nothing could make them happy. I highly recommend this restaurant and if and when we are find ourselves back in St. Louis, we will definitely be back to eat here again....we love this food. Thank you to everyone at Sameem for making this a truly special night for everyone but especially our son and our new daughter-in-law!

Absolutely incredible food and an amazing restaurant! All the staff is incredibly kind and very knowledgable. Will be back frequently. New favorite restaurant, period. This is a must try if you're a fan of middle Eastern food and spice. Make sure to ask for extra spicy if you like heat!

Amazing service. They did catering and I had showed up after they packed up. He gave me his own plate of food despite me insisting that it was ok! It was such a nice gesture. Great service and food on top of that. Good people and great food. Can't beat that!! :)
