This police department is the best at their job, a while back I was homeless and a man that was known as Sgt. Sweeterman took me from being scared to feeling the safest I had ever felt in a long time. With his words of encouragement and support I became a good citizen of Sarasota. I now have my own home and a full-time job for over a year running and to this day the Sarasota City police department still is making me feel as safe as ever. I want to say Thanks to all the Sarasota City police officers that work so hard to making Sarasota safe. And great job to all working with the HOT Program.

Just saw a video of police misconduct in their own department building, how an officer treated a homeless man disappointing. Ya chiefs should discipline ya blue piggies

If they're going to give out tickets for going 5 over they should definitely give out tickets for going 10 to 15 miles an hour under the speed limit. It causes people to then speed once they get around those who have no idea how to drive.
