Very cool place! Though our guide was a bit aggressive pushing for audience interaction and feedback. Sometimes u just wanna chill and take it all in, not have a brain game running discourse to see who can spit out the correct answer first. Be sure and take some warm duds cuz it's quite nippy when the mine cart hits high speed.

Outstanding tour. You start out with a ride on the elevator about 500 feet down into the mine - it's loud, dark, and cramped, but that just adds to the experience. You also get to ride in a mine cart once you're down there. The guide explained to us how workers often worked in total darkness, with no electric lights and often not even lighting the candle on their helmet because of the cost. My shoes still had some of the rusty residue on them for weeks after - I consider that my souvenier!

This place is Awesome!! Very cool experience. The mine is a little chilly may need a light jacket or sweatshirt. The staff are friendly and very professional. They care about your safety! I highly recommend going on the tour! Amazing how Miners did their work...

This was a great experience. Our tour guide Reed was incredibly knowledgeable about the mine, the area, and the geology. The mine is chilly so bring a jacket. Highly recommend a few hours here. Be sure to check out the extensive grounds.

One of the best tours I have ever been to! Just make sure you wear pants and a long sleeve shirt and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. It is around 50°F down in the cave and when you are on the train the wind makes it pretty chilly.
