Wow! Hands down, one of the top 6 meals I've eaten, and I'm blessed to have to been able to experience other meals like this. This is where art, science, and passion merge to deliver service, presentation, taste, texture, manners and everything else that one conceives of for a pristine and meticulously executed experience. If you are serious about food, service, atmosphere, etc., then add this to your places to go/see. If you can't find a moment of bliss here, then good luck to you.

I have eaten at one, two, and three Michelin star restaurants, and if the rating system extended into Monterey County, this place would at least deserve one. This is my favorite restaurant in the world. The view is literally breath taking, and the experience unmatched. You have to visit. It is pricey, but worth it. $$$$$

One of the most romantic restaurants in the world. At the edge of the mountain with a beautiful view of the ocean. You have to make reservations at least several days in advance. Shoot for the one closest to sunset. You can arrive early and get drinks, or we were able to at least. Good food, but it's the view, and the glass walls that surround the building that really impress.

I've been there twice. I'm an epicurian at soul. I've eaten in Michelin star restaurants across the oceans in many countries. To me the Serria Mar is the best restaurant in the world. John Cox is a MASTER CHIEF. If you have the chance go there for the lunch. The view is just magestic. You will keep the best of memories of your experience.
