My family's experience tonight was one I will never forget. We've eaten at many fine dining restaurants and this one will be crossed off the list. The service was terrible. They were completely rude and didn't make us feel welcome. Not only was the food mediocre but, the atmosphere was not inviting at all. We got the check as soon as we could. We will NEVER go back.

Best to eat at the fine fine section not the grill. Service not the best fir the price you pay and bartenders drink. Very interesting old fashion style. Still love it and the food is incredible just ask definitely better service in the upstairs The bronzini is delectable if you are not a steak person and end up there. Love their oyster mushrooms and cream of spinach. there is also a parking lot across from it.

So wonderful! Everything was perfect. Also, the staff are members of a Union so most of them have been serving customers in the same locations for 30 years. It’s truly a treat to learn a menu and speak to a true professional.

Traditional steakhouse segment. A classic. Always consistent. Prices a little above par, but hey, it's Manhattan. Portions on par. Top notch service. Upscale decor. I just love when they scrape the crumbs off the table during service, super classy.

What can I say? It's an old NY steak house. Solid food, solid service. They know they're their business, and they do it well. They accommodate all who come, family, friends, power lunches. You can't beat Smith & Wollensky.
