It was packed and a mix up of reservations, but we found a nice seat and enjoyed every bit of our meal. Definitely nice date night spot; the music, food, drinks and service were all excellent. I also saw a few birthdays happening here. The waitress was very helpful in helping us choose, dessert banana pudding 😋 And the food is large portions, 2 can share.

Made a reservation at 11:00pm and didn’t get seated till 11:35 and it took about 20 min for someone to even come by and ask if we wanted anything to drink by the time they got there we already knew what we wanted to order. The waiter didn’t bring us the drink we ordered until we asked again. When I finished my food it took a while for someone to grab it off the table. We had to ask for the desert menu and we asked someone else because our waiter hardly touched bases on our table. It even took a while to even put the order because we didn’t know where our server was. Another waiter was actually very nice so That’s the only reason I’m giving TAO a 3 but if it weren’t for him it would be a 1. The one in LA is definitely better. I am currently still trying to put my desert order in... I’ve been waiting about 20 min now.

Been going to Tao since it opened and it always had such a good and cool vibe with good albeit expensive dishes. After a hiatus from the hip joint I took some visitors last night and was shocked at how the place just turned into aa glorified Asian Disneyland- really bad service and front of house staff- rude and snotty. The room was filled with groups of teenagers on a night out without parents and groups of loud families with small children. Cool vibe dead and long gone. The food also lost its quality and value. Angry crab sushi with shrimp was missing shrimp in the middle and for 27 usd you expect some seafood filling- told the snobby server and she just looked at us like it happens because when you roll the sushi sometimes the sea food moves to the other roll... then walks away. The dishes were made for touristy crowds who are never expected to go back and be regulars. No value, small and overpriced portions they hope you don’t notice in a dark room. Tao has lost it’s way. Sad. Some many other better places to spend your money on- diners beware!

Great restaurant. The place is on the small size, so make sure to here early to get a seat. One of the dishes we tried was the wasabi noodle dish, which on the service doesn't sound that appetizing but it was very delicious. That hit the spot!
