Great place for sushi.  Food off menu was ok... kinda bland.  But sushi is really good.  Atmosphere was nice with sticky tables....  try it, you will like it... Texas roll wonderful!  Spicy tuna is my all time favorite. Seemed fresh.

What a delightful experience. I came on a Saturday around 9P. Sushi Fugu is nestled in a busy "shopping town" over in Highland, but business was slow when I got there, leaving me with any seat I wanted. I chose to sit at the sushi bar directly and watch the skilled chefs prepare my rolls. I specifically ordered salmon heavy items like the Philly, Salmon Skin, and Salmon Roe. They were all beautiful works of art and tasted fresh and delicious.

Based on the lighting and ambiance, this would be a good place to take your date if he or she is into Depeche Mode or Muse. My experience was only heightened further by the attentive service I received from James and Eric. I completely skipped the hot kitchen, but based only on the sushi I would definitely go back. The sizing was so generous I had leftovers. 

I should mention: I came here with a Groupon in hand, but I thought that even without it their prices were very reasonable. At $6.50 for the Philly Roll I got great cuts of salmon. That's what you would pay for bad grocery sushi.

The sushi is good, but on Tuesdays (sushi night) the portions vary. The sushi is at discounted price but I wonder if they cut the portions down too? Also the tables are definitely sticky and the service has been slow the last two times I went with my family.

Sushi Fugu was an overall enjoyable experience for my wife and I. The Salmon didn’t seem to be AS fresh as I would have liked and/or expected,  but the rice was very well made, which makes a huge difference in the overall taste and quality of the Sushi. The atmosphere/ambiance at the restaurant is something I enjoyed, as well, as did my wife. We will return soon and hope that the Salmon is fresher than this trip!
