The camp ground is a secret hidden treasure. The fire flies are unforgettable. The camp ground is far enough off the beaten path to have magical fire flies!! The trees along the river are lit up like Christmas trees in the spring and summer! It is a delightful fairy tale to behold!!
The big warehouse type office is old fashioned and retro! They have bands on special holidays and Lordy Mercy you haven't lived -if you haven't had a Halloween there!!
The staff is incredible!! Cora is always on hand to help out and make your visit special!! SHE makes the whole camping experience a glorious event!!
A great place!! The prices are incredibly reasonable! 
It is a safe place to take children to reconnect to mother nature!!

I give it two star instead of just one because of friendly staff.

I live about 2 hours away (from  New Orleans, LA) and drove there to fish in the "stock pond" as per their website. Paid about $20 for 3 people as a fee.

Here are few negative highlights:

1. Had to drive on 2 mile on a gravel from Hwy 40. I am sure it made some wear and tear on my tires.

2. The grass was about 5 inches high around the camp.

3. There was no big fish in the "stocked fish pond" as per their website. I could see small fish (2 inches) with my polarized sun glasses but.....where are the big fish. Even though its catch and release there were no fish....Being from Louisiana I know how to catch fish.....

4. The park benches were really dirty. I mean dirty. There were lots of bird dropping all over. Could not sit down etc.

I should have known when at the management office the nice lady said "if they are not biting at the pond try the river....."

Overall a waste of time. If you are going there just to fish. 

One thing I did notice was the river passing through the camp. If you have kids they can jump in the river. Its a 1.5 foot deep slow river one can take a dip.
