Our overall experience was good. We went during the Twin Cities Jazz festival which was a little nuts because it's 'Seat Yourself'. The cheese curds are definitely up to the gold Minnesota State Fair standard. An extensive beer list. Sandwiches were around $10-13 and are served with chips. The pot roast sandwich was very good and would be worth going back for.

The Bulldog is great because it doesn't take much to become a regular. I don't know that I'd call it the best place in Lowertown, but it's close. The food is above average and they have a lot of beers to pick from. 

The prices are fair, if not cheap. The reaper wings are very good. They do basic chicken strips better than just about anywhere in St. Paul. The chilli dog (with cheese) was exactly what I wanted when I got it.

 What's not to love. Half price apps... Excellent food,  walk in and they remember what you drink and we weren't even drinking alcohol 😍

Pretty decent place. Menu is very pub and bar like (late night menu). It's nice they serve food after midnight. The quality isn't anything special, it's actually along the lines of "Applebee's" in terms of quality. The happy hour was okay. I liked the area it was in, lowertown is so nice. Our waitress was very sassy and not friendly...

Great selection of beer.  Bartender was very friendly and gave great advice with selections.  Food was great!  A Mac and cheese hotdog!  Can't go wrong!
