This was our second time here having been here 2 years ago. We had the lunch buffet and over all it was a positive experience. The ribs, fish, cornbread casserole and green beans were all very good. The smothered pork chops and mashed potatoes could have been very good but were way too heavily salted. Salt is something that can easily be added to suit your own taste but is there to stay once it is added. This could have been a 5,but a 4 is being very generous. The staff was very friendly and relatively fast.

The experience was a big surprise! My whole family loved the food and the environment. We ate at the second floor and we took an elevator to get there. Waiting time was very good, considering it was a Saturday and it was a very cold day. Everyone wanted a hot meal. Our server was excellent and on point all the time. The food was outstanding and the price was very reasonable. The corn bread they gave us as an appetizer was one the best I've ever had. Great Southern food, location and experience. We will definitely go back next time we are in Savannah.

Horrible experience for my first time. The greeters to seat you were rude. Pointing in customers faces. Manager was rude as well. Needs to be retrained in customer service & how to run so called fine dining restaurant. Nice that the dessert comes free with your meal. I was looking for banana pudding or peach cobbler from a Southern Restaurant to be better then just bland. The only good thing about my whole experience was my waiter Jim. He made you feel welcome even after everything else. I wish I could give the restaurant a 2 1/2 star & my waiter 4 1/2 stars.

Anyone visiting Savannah should eat here. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Savannah area. The food is really tasty awesome southern food. The mashed potatoes are so creamy and tasty. My favorite is the collard greens and the green beans and the banana pudding is amazing. We have been living in Savannah for for years and go here often. Highly recommend.

A party of four, we came in for lunch around 2 pm on a weekday. We were seated on the 3rd floor within 10 minutes, no problem there. But after that the experience went downward. One of us had the daily buffet, and that was not the right thing to have at that time of the day: fried chicken was dry, and the other things... well they weren't exactly fresh either. I was really looking forward to the crab soup, which was nicely spiced but too salty. I was tempted to give it two stars as the tomato bisque (big size difference between bowl and cup - for just $1 more recommend going for bigger) and cheese sandwich, and black pepper shrimp sauteed in butter were decent (and how can you mess those things up anyway?). But with the service being extremely slow, I can't justify more than one star, unfortunately. We ended up spending almost 1 h 30 minutes there - just lunch, no desserts, no frills. Was hoping for a local place I could start taking Savannah visitors to, but this definitely is NOT it. It got me wondering what kind of brand Paula Deen wants to be really?
