I attended a concert here and had a wonderful time. The concert was held on the top floor inside their penthouse. The views were simply magical, the staff was incredibly friendly and the bar had a great selection. In addition, I found the bartender to be pretty cool and made really good cocktails. I would totally come watch another concert here.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. View from the 17th floor is spectacular! The courtyard next to the hotel has yurts, which were nice and cozy since the temps were in the 30's and 40's. The cafe is also a great place to hang out or catch up on work. If you like boutique hotels, definitely check out the Standard.

The hotel is nice and feels new but missing a few marks to get 5 stars. The bathroom needs a small hand. There is no towel holder close to the shower, the towel mat for getting out of the shower gets stuck on the shower door, the hair dryer physically hurt my ears. It needs to be thrown away. The front desk and bars associated with the hotel are awesome! Narc Bar was cool! There is only 1 outlet strip on one side of the bed. The other side has nothing. Really needs a outlet there. Room service took an hour to deliver cold eggs and potatoes. They did take them off the bill which was appreciated. This is great clean place to stay just needs some tweaks.

The best things about this hotel is the location, the views from the room (if your room is on the higher floors), and the comfy beds. The rooms are somewhat stylish but have a lot of issues: 1) Our room with a queen bed was really tiny (and I'm used to small rooms coming from Europe) 2) The bathroom has no heater and felt really cold all the time: this is not acceptable for a hotel of this category, I had heated bathroom floors in other cheaper hotels in Manhattan. We could leave the bathroom door open to make the bathroom warmer, however, this was not possible while we were sleeping as there is not curtain in the bathroom. 3) They provide a BLACK soap which makes the basin look dirty after washing your hands, this is such a stupid idea! 4) There was no kettle of coffee machine available in the room, again this is something unacceptable at this price range 5) The doors of the rooms are really cheap and make a loud noise when they are closed. We could hear all the doors opening/closing from our room. And because our room was tiny, the door was next to the bed, so you can imagine how quiet this was... 6) The restaurants/bars were super noisy on the ground floor in the evening. Luckily we didn't hear anything as we were on the higher floors.

Didn't have a great experience here: 1) each floor of the building is very small, so all room doors are close together and near the elevator. I was woken up by every other person opening and closing their door, or talking while waiting for the elevator. 2) they left the window to my room open before I arrived. Room was freezing cold. I was not able to close the window myself, so had to wait while the sent someone with a ladder. 3) Light switch did not work when I arrived, so I was in a dark, cold room. 4) No where did it say which number to dial to contact reception. 5) Room thermostat / temperature control didn't work. Room got way too hot during the night, even though the temp was set correctly. 6) No appology for all of the above, just "that's a first"
