I joined my wife and father-in-law at this establishment because we wanted to try something local and the reviews were decent. Immediately upon walking in you can see and smell the wood fire from the pit in the center of the restaurant; the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. My father-in-law and I ordered the brisket, which was okay, but not very smoky considering the smell when we had first entered. They came as sandwiches, and most of the flavor was from the onions and a sauce. My wife ordered the Mac and cheese, which really was quite disappointing. It came out looking like Velveeta cheese, and it was Velveeta cheese, and we would have been charged $12 for a gloppy bowl of Velveeta cheese and elbow macaroni had we not complained in disbelief! I believe this place has potential if the price matches the quality. In Seattle, when I pay $12 for mac and cheese, fresh, quality cheese is used (and grated), and I'm happy to pay! Good beer selection, and great presentation with plates and atmosphere; unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to our expectations.

Wow!!! I only wish I could give more than five stars!!! We happened across Timber Gastro Pub in Post Falls after running to Spokane. Best decision ever!!!! The decor is fun with wood planks, industrial lights and metal chairs, but it was the food that blew me away. I had the BEST burger I've ever had, have down. No contest. A week later, and my stomach growls at the memory. Their sandwiches and burgers (1/2lb, by the way) come with bottomless fries which are wonderful all by themselves. They are crispy and crunchy and airy and served with ketchup made at the restaurant. My husband had a bbq beef sandwich that he enjoyed immensely. They had an awesome beer selection as well. I loved the water bottles they had on each table-great touch! My only dismay is it is 45 minutes from my home. No matter, I WILL be returning, and soon!

Been here twice, both times have been a bad experience. Overpriced greasy under cooked frozen patty burgers for $14 dollars. Fries both times were insanely over seasoned. Both times we went it wasn't that busy and the service was slow. We had to ask for the check from the waitress she basically ignored us the whole time. When we wouldn't finish our greasy burgers the the staff didn't even ask why... Not really sure why this place is rated fairly high on here. Maybe the pizzas are good. Will not be eating here again, and I'll be letting all my friends and family know that the food here is overpriced garbage..

Only 1 star for the great staff. Food is either under or over cooked. Each visit to Timber gets worse, and im fed up with giving Timber a chance. Go if you wish to be disappointed.

Unfortunately not impressed with the food here. Have tried three different times and it has always been bland. The look of the place is very nice and if I was just popping in for a beer it would be nice. It can get really noisy though. If I am looking to eat though, this won't be the place anymore.
