Such friendly staff always helpful and fast

Usually come in with my wife and have a great experience, store employees know myself and my wife by name and are always friendly. However, Maritza (who proclaimed herself to be the manager of the store) was very rude. My wife had selected a coat and went to check out when the coat rang up wrong, this manager immediately ripped the "40% off" tag off the coat explaining it wasn't on sale, when we directed her to the rack of coats all with the same "40% off" tag she proceeded to turn to her coworker and bad mouth us in Spanish explaining to her coworker that we had simply taken the tags off another item without her noticing (which would be a feat considering this rack is next to the cash register) continuing to assume we didn't understand her. The coworker quickly went to work removing all the tags while the "manager" proceeded to explain to us that "even if it was on sale she wouldnt be giving the sale to... us". I've worked in retail, I understand sometimes things get missed or tagged wrong but there is not excuse to treat customers with such blatant disrespect. Had she simply explained that the item was miss priced there would have been no problem but I will not be treated like a criminal for attempting to buy something for the clearly marked price. My wife and I came in every weekend for the past 2 years and I no longer feel comfortable shopping in this store.

I have been to all 3 Torrid's here in Tucson and this one is by far the most stylish.  I love the variety and style selections I can find here. I don't  know if the manager is responsible for ordering or if they just send her stuff but the other two are just so dull and blah.  With that being said, I do not love how I am treated each time I shop at this location.  Last night I went to return an item that I paid full price for, I did not buy it on clearance, I had my receipt, and I was returning item within the 60 days.  The girl at the register told me I could not return clearance items.  I asked her to please look at the date and price of the blouse so she could see that I did not buy it on clearance and therefore I expected full refund, not even a refund, I was just looking to exchange it. This girl  had the gull to roll her eyes and tell me that she would make a one time exception and allow me to return it this one time. Excuse me? I have the blouse, tags attached, receipt in hand, and you are telling me that you are going to do me a favor?  This is the same girl who earlier I had asked her if they had a blouse in a certain size, she replied with what ever sizes are there is all we have. I told her the blouses were too high up and it was hard for me to read the tags to which she said nothing, nada, no reply, no let me help, or let me check the computer and see if we have it here, like other stores have done before for me.  This is my second rude encounter with the same employee. I am a huge Torrid shopper, I hold a platinum card and I spend hundreds shopping  at Torrid and this is not how a good customer should be treated. I guess I  will just have to go back to shopping online and avoid a 3rd rude encounter with said employee. 
 I was there 12/5/2016 between 530-6 pm, employee was wearing a denim skirt with a blue and white flannel, blonde hair, heavier set than the rest. Wish I would have asked for her name!  I will be calling the store today with my complaints. I will post an update later.

I normally don't write reviews on shopping experiences, I guess I've never had one good enough. Every time I go to this torrid store I have such a great shopping experience. This is coming from someone who usually hates going to physical stores and trying on clothes. I usually order online, but the team that works at this particular store is amazing, and I keep coming back because of them.
