I recently had our van in for factory recall work and thought maybe I should have them fix the side door since it stopped working earlier. Toyota’s service person told me via phone the price to fix it  They told me it would be cheaper to do now while doing recall since they would need to take "the door off". Service person claimed it would save an hour worth of labor. I said that's fine go ahead.... after picking up and several $$$$$ later... I picked up my van and noticed that the door didn't come off at all! I live on gravel and could tell door wasn't removed as stated no hand prints from "removing the door". All work was done from the inside of van I later figured out. After looking into the fix myself I see the average person can do it in a 1-1/2 hrs. Toyota had no problem charging more than 3 hours. I thought they could have been more honest and upfront. They had no problem giving me a quote for repair, not a penny cheaper not having to remove the door as stated. I probably won’t be going back to have any “non-recall” work performed.

Had a great experience at this dealership.  The staff was easy to work with and went out of their way for us.  Stephanie Koehler did an amazing job making a quick deal happen.  Highly recommend Toyota of Iowa City!

Best place to buy a new car. Sales to pick out new car GREAT. The service department is also awesome. Would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

Shout out to the wonderful Troy Knapp at Toyota City for helping us find an awesome new (to us) car! It was great to get to buy a car from the folks who have been such great supporters of local arts organizations, The Englert Theatre included. We love our new ride and recommend Troy as an honest, no smoke and mirrors car salesman. He'll also keep you smiling. 😁 Tell him Katie sent ya!
