This store will be closing soon due to the company going bankrupt. Prior to it's bankruptcy, it was over priced. Always an excellent selection of toys and baby stuff though! Being there brings back many memories of being a wide eyed kid walking it's aisles.

Nice big toy store. Just about every toy you can imagine is there. Lower prices can be found elsewhere but you can walk out with it there. Prices are good but not great. Great selection of kids clothes and all the things which go along with kids will be found there.

It's a fun place to shop at and feel like a lid again.

Hard to deal with over phone if online return but Corp takes that and makes it good.  Lots of toys tons of sales decently priced believe it or not...  Cashier's friendly, plenty of staff over holidays..

So I went in Toys-R-Us looking for the scooter that I've attached a pic of (Purple "Pocket Mod" scooter with a fuzzy purple seat, and that's the selling point, according to my 7-year-old daughter, the seat... 😝🤷🤷👌)...

In the store they were selling for $299... No kidding... Online, at Toys-R-Us, it's $199... I showed a guy the pic and he said, "Let me check on the price, sometimes people pull stuff up on Google or whatever and it's not our price..." Lol I started laughing and showed him my phone, that had open the Toys-R-Us app... The 1 and only Toys-R-Us shopping app that I'm aware of...

He went in the back, my daughter and I messed around for 10 minutes in the aisles, and he came back with an answer: "Yeah that's definitely from our website... We can match the price if you want..." Okay so now I just got 30% off, a $100 savings, just for bringing up their crazy in-store pricing... But he said the model of that scooter was discontinued and the only one they had was the floor model... Of which! Was literally laying in it's side when we walked up... And it looked like they let a group of kindergarten kids play with it for 2 months, test every aspect of it, and then return it to the store to put back on display... Lol It Was Messed Up! The license plate on the back was literally hanging crooked, about to snap off; the sides we're riddled with scratches like it had been "laid down" while doing whatever event, just obviously moving pretty quickly... No where near "New" condition at all, but it's equivalent to just ordering the same thing online??? No way...

The point is I wouldn't have paid $50 for the floor model, even though a discount of ANY kind was never offered, even as the fella stood there and looked at it with my daughter and I like "What happened to this???"... Let alone the online price, $199... And Definitely not the highway robbery, in-store price of $299... 

I ended up ordering the scooter online, while standing in the store (it's a discontinued model and, honestly, I can't find it anywhere else... And my Princess is pretty obsessed with the fuzzy seat, so... 👍👍👍)... 

Lesson Learned: Always check a stores online inventory and prices before buying a rather large-ticket item in it's brick-and-mortar stores... 30% off just by bringing up, that's crazy to me...

Went to the store on Thursday thinking the clothes would had been reduced. I was told no that the aren't reducing prices on anything yet. I did find a outfit on the online sight that was $2 cheaper! Why does the Cedar Rapids store still have prices at full price? No Bueno!
