Travel back and forth every week, buy a monthly pass or a book of 10 if you want to save money. The drivers are good and experienced.
Omg why have I never used them before. When I work in New Paltz they are who I will use to get from Manhattan. Convenient location in port authority bus terminal and they put you off right on Main St. Not sure how it will be to get back to the city with a suitcase, since they are coming from Albany and make many stops before New Paltz, it seems it would be crowded going into the city, but it is heaven going out from the city.
Bought a ticket online for the 4:40 am bus. It never showed. Couldn’t get any kind of assistance or check to see what was going because they don’t open till 7:00 am. Why offer such early buses if there is no customer service on site or via phone.
I give Trailways 6 stars out of 5 My husband forgot to take his bag. I called them next morning and within 30 hours, they called back and said that the bag was found and we can pick it up at the Syracuse bus station. Keep up the great customer service, Trailways!
It is your basic bus station and taxi stand. It is a little dreary, but clean, with usable rest rooms. People working behind the counter are helpful regarding buses and taxis. If you take a bus to New Paltz, this facility does its job.
Would recommend booking elsewhere if you have any other option. The bus never showed up and I missed a flight. No refund was offered. Just a frustrating experience all around.
I have ridden trailways 4 times now and every single time something horrible has gone wrong. Buses don't show, buses spontaneously go local and show up an hour and a half late. Drivers pull over the bus to complain about passengers complaining. Just an awful series of bus riding experiences.
5 stars for the drivers, 1 star for the service in the shop. Lady in the morning is EXTREMELY rude. I had to ask her one simple question and she rolled her eyes while stuffing her face in food and just pointed. What kind of service is that? I get it if you don’t like your job but all I did was ask a question. There was no need for the attitude

Update 11/15 I have not been contacted by Trailways regarding this matter. This 20$ will be considered and advocated as stolen by horrible business policy and practice. Do not use this service, and include me in any lawsuits pending! Do not use this service. They don’t nickel and dime you - They 20$ charge you. I provided my flight that I accidentally chose a PM bus instead of AM shortly after I realized the mistake. They’re more concerned with getting an extra 20$ Rescheduling fee out of you because “policy” I was a lifetime Trailways believer since I was raised on the routes. I will be finding other accommodations from now on. They’ll take my 20$ for a bus I couldn’t make, and I consider that borderline 0 flexibility to take money form their customers without providing any flexible resolution. No supervisor, no dispute center, just 3 reps telling you “too bad”. Disappointing how companies do not value their customers. As an HR professional I can accept my mistake and move forward, but I cannot accept policy that is in favor of the company when you provide legitimate justification for your need for their services. If airlines can figure it out, so can a bus.
