It's hot here today in Utah.  We stopped in for the first time Trellis Cafe and were greeted by Jen the manager.  She seated my brother-in-law and I out on the patio dining area where we had a great view and shaded from the hot sun.  He and I enjoyed cool drinks and chocolate cake.  Later on the rest of our party joined us and they prepared a table for 10.  Our server Brandon was excellent.   We had two active 4 year old twins in our party and Jen, the manager asked if she could borrow them for a while during the wait for our meal.  She took them to a quiet area in the dining room and entertained them with bracelet kits.  The kids were thrilled and their mother was too.  She was able to join in the adult conversation.  The food was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing.  We had a relaxed lunch administered by caring people.  I would definitely recommend Jen, Brandon, and the Trellis Cafe at Ashton Gardens.  I am excited to return!

We have been there on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed it. The manager, Jen, is always delightful and welcoming. The servers are friendly and competent. We look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic lunch for my wife's birthday. They took great care of us. Great service from Cassie and delicious food. Will definitely be going back.

This is one of our family's favorite places to eat.  The atmosphere is beautiful, overlooking the gardens.  The food is delicious!  We have tried every menu item and love them all.  The desserts are divine!  The staff is always friendly, attentive and helpful.  We eat here nearly every week during the months it is open and have always had a good experience!  
Highly recommend!!

What's the managers issue with kids?  We come every year with parents and grandparents and our 5 kids to celebrate Mother's Day and enjoy the gardens.  We are treated poorly every year but tolerate the disdain because it's a tradition. Just hoping the manager quits so we can stop being scolded for having kids with us or for, heaven forbid, a large group of 10 ( even though we call ahead) Seriously, go manage a rastaurant in the Bay Area or something but as long as you are in Utah, next to a children's  museum show a little respect for families with kids.  The waitress was nice, the food is good enough,  the manager needs to go.
