Tuffys staff is very nice and it has that small business shop feel to it. The downside is that they take long with your car. Maybe they're understaffed on the mechanic side but I wish they'd work on the car a little quicker.

If you plan on going to this place expect to get ripped off and lied to (especially if you're a woman)! My elderly mother-in-law came to this shop to inquire about a noise that was coming from her engine compartment. After they looked things over, the representative explained that her alternator was bad and it needed to be replaced immediately or it would damage other components of her vehicle. About an hour later, she received a hefty estimate of $615.00 and was told to bring the vehicle in the next day. The alternator alone was priced at $367.00! Keep in mind, she drives a small SUV, not a Monster Truck or a formula one race car. When she asked the mechanic why the price was so high, he proceeded to tell her that the alternator for her vehicle was very rare and hard to find. Another thing to mention is that her SUV has no trouble starting and the battery keeps a good charge. In the end, I checked the car out myself and the noise was from a worn bearing. Definitely not as urgent as it was made out to be and not near as expensive to fix. We're talking about two bolts and sliding a pulley belt out of the way. Needless to say, I will be fixing this "major problem" for about $80 dollars tomorrow. 30 minutes of my time is not that big of a deal, especially for an elderly woman in need of help.

I take all my vehicles here for inspection, super fast and nice. Much appreciated especially when trying to get service before work.
