For a busy post office the staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help move things along. There is a take-a-number system so you don't have to stand in line waiting or lose your spot while you rush to get your priority mail shipments organized or check out other products. When it's busy one of the staff will often step up to expedite simple services like providing books of stamps. During the holiday season they even set up a special kiosk for package shipping if all you needed to to was pay and drop off your package. When we first moved to town we had an issue with a couple deliveries to our new home, and they got it resolved quickly and recognized me the next time I went in to drop off a package and asked if everything had been resolved.

Most unhelpful people for simple needs and requests. They're a postal service but won't let you use a copier machine because of people "mishandling" it. Customer service is also terrible and talk down at you. Updated: Visited again to try to get a new passport. They tell me something new I need to bring each time I go in (has been 3 times so far). Going to a different place at all costs from here on out.

I don't understand why this post office refuses to deliver packages to my apartment. I understand that the parcel lockers get full, when this happens the post office should drop the packages off at the door instead of just taking the packages back to the post office. They often forget to leave a pink slip in the mailbox whenever this happens and I only find out that the package is being held at the post office from online tracking. What is the point of paying for shipping when I have to go pick my packages up anyways?

I live in New Town, and the parcel lockers in the central mail room are often full. Instead of taking the mail to the front door of our house like a normal postal service does- they simply take them back to the post office and hold them. We may or may not get a notification if this happens. To pick up the mail, they not only require an ID but also an address verification, like a utility bill proving you are at that address. They also get upset if you don't have a tracking number for the packages that they are too lazy to take to your door. Some of my mail that gets held does not have a tracking number so.. I have also had an issue sending mail at this location. They once held my rent check that was being mailed to Earth City from St. Charles on the grounds that it didn't have enough postage. They didn't tell me that it was being held, and I only discovered that it was being held at the post office when my landlord contacted me about missing a rent payment. Since when does 1 forever stamp not mail a check 10 miles away! I am moving in a few months and one of the things I look forward to the most is getting away from this post office.

I have had a postal box for over 13 years @ this St Charles post office. Every 6 months like clock work on the 1st of Feb & 1 of August, I've received a renewed envelope Placed in my box, informing me of renewal time. In August '17, I never received this envelope, & actually I was in the post office on 31August, which was the last payment date before being considered nonpayment . But the line was long to get to clerk @ main desk & since no renewal envelope ever arrive, I assumed I'd made a 12 mo payment, as I've done in some years! I returned a week or so later in early Last month to find my box key ( that I've used now since office moved to current new location), did not work! I was just Shocked!! ( this was on Saturday after hours, so I had to return Monday)! After another trip to get my mail, the desk clerk tells me he didn't know what was wrong? I asked him to tell me if payment was due in August or next Feb'18? Clerk , tells me "yes you didn't make payment by August 31, so your box was closed down and ALL your mail was Returned"! I asked him why I didn't receive notice with a payment envelope twice a year as previously for 13 years? He really couldn't give an explanation, but thought the clerk that's assigned duty was on vacation? I was charged a high penalty to reopen my postal box, and all the 8 days of mail that was returned cannot be obtained again! I felt this was very inappropriate, lousy Customer Service, to say the least! If you're going to Change a 13 year Routine... pleaseeeeeee notify the Customer ! I would very much appreciate receiving a Refund on the Penalty I was charged!
