Sometimes I think Nationalized healthcare is the answer then I walk into, well, try, to a Post Office and see what a disaster nationalized mail has become. No one enjoys the experience, even the woman working there. In this case they close 2:15-3:15 for lunch. How many service institutions close for lunch? I arrive at 3:25, closed. At 3:40 an unpleasant woman stares at the 6 people waiting. Never said a word. Since we have no other choice, neither do we. One woman waiting says it happened yesterday, another said it happens all the time. So now I’ll go to Towson. Read those review, that woman is disliked by name. Seriously, terrible. I had to chose one star, zero was not an option.
I really don't understand the negative reviews of this post office. I've been coming here from more than 20 years and I've always found the people who work here extremely helpful and friendly. To my mind, they go out of their way to be helpful, polite and efficient. It is not their fault if the post office is understaffed. In fact, it's a testament to their positive attitude that even with it being understaffed, they continue to be positive in the way they treat customers.
Super pleasant. Patient young lady. Quick service. Clerk number 17. Thank you very much
One of the worst post offices in Baltimore, which is a shame since it is in a nice location. Has only 1 worker who operates at the speed of a turtle. You will wait 30+ minutes for the bare minimum. Shouldn’t have to educate workers on what a US territory vs foreign country is. Baffling!
I've been going to the Roland Park Post Office since 1990 and have consistently received competent and friendly service. On most of my trips to the post office, customers have treated the staff with courtesy and they've gotten the same back. In the last few years, I've observed the post office staff being treated increasingly with condescension. When my turn at the window comes, I'll sometimes say that I'm sorry about how unkind the previous customer was. The most frequent response is that they're used to it. I've not seen my regular mail person for a few weeks and hope she's coming back - she's great!
I'm unsure her name but the attendant today was amazing. Super helpful and quickly helped me. I was truly having a rough day so when she asked how I was doing I was struggling to answer but she spoke compassion and empathy into me and my situation. Her words were more touching than she'll ever know and really made a huge impact in my day. Thank you.
Miss Carter is the best — friendly, respectful, efficient. I actually look forward to dropping packages just to tell her hello. It’s a small post office with always only one attendant, so lines are long during the busiest hours; but Miss Carter works hard to get everyone through asap. When I’m lucky enough to encounter no line, I always have really enriching exchanges with her, no matter how brief. Otherwise I just drop my labeled box and I’m in and out in 5 seconds. I sense that other visitors are uplifted by her demeanor as well — she really prevents the “government drag” vibe that many of these facilities suffer from, especially in Baltimore City. Thanks Miss Carter, you are appreciated!
Arrived to deliver two boxes and a prepaid package and the woman serving me, Vanessa, was a complete and total awful human being. I noticed she was extremely rude to the customer before me and despite my positive attitude as a customer, her lack of customer service, disgusting tone and attitude, drove me to leave this review today. All because I didn't remove my card from the chip reader fast enough for her. Its evident, based on my experience and previous reviews, that this location employs those who lack all key points of customer service skills and this is something i will definitely continue to pursue higher, completely unacceptable.
If I could give the Roland Park Post Office a zero, I would. This past Saturday I stopped there to buy stamps. You would think a post office could sell a customer some stamps. Oh contrare. The clerk could not sell me a book of stamps advising this was not her normal office. Like that mitigated the preposterous service. Thinking that it was a Saturday, and that had something to do with the ridiculousness, I returned on a Wednesday only to be given the same litany by the same clerk! Is it any wonder the Postal Service is wallowing in massive debt, given the inexcusable service they offer? Just sad and reprehensible.
Bad service from Vanessa! When I arrived no one was in sight so I began saying 'hello'. After at least 1 minutes a worker came from the rear and looked at me as if I was bothering her. I gave her a warm, Good Morning, and her cold response was, can I help you. I asked for a particular stamp and she said they didn't have any. I asked what was available and she threw a stapled sample of stamps on the counter and said, 'here you go'. I asked for 100 and she acted as if she couldn't count then appeared annoyed when I took out my calculator to determine the number of sheets I needed to get to 100. l should have left after that cold greeting but I held my tongue and made my purchase. Customer service at it's worst! I will pray for her nonetheless
