Sure, sometimes there are lines and waits in Olney -- welcome to the USPS -- but if you are waiting you probably have come close to closing or another busy time. Also, last time I checked, Olney isn't a major metropolis and I'm glad we have the facility and service we have. What you need to know is that the people at this location are superb, wonderful, warm, fun, knowledgeable and friendly people. They help the person they are waiting on until all of their needs are serviced; that may mean you have to wait for your turn for excellent service. I've lived in Olney for close to three decades and think of this as a quintessential local community service even though it is a national organization. The counter help know many of the customers.

Horrible post office that needs to teach the employees customer service skills. I waited in line behind two customers to pay for tape and have my pre-paid package scanned and accepted. Their were two employees working the counter, once I got up to the counter the one worker said, "he was closed" and quickly walked into the back, leaving the other guy alone with two more customers standing behind me. When it was my turn I was helped by Ed who greeted me. I told him that I needed my package scanned and accepted. After I told him that, he got an attitude and told me to, "drop it off over there" and that he "couldn't give me a receipt". I tried to explain to him that I needed some form of proof for dropping off my package because I have had issues before where the post office said they never received it. Ed kept talking over me and raising his voice but finally ended up giving me a receipt, horrible customer service! Every other post office I go into, I walk in and I don't even have to ask for them to accept it and print me a receipt, they all do it without me even asking. Go to another post office and save yourself from terrible customer service... I will be driving out of my way to not have to deal with this location.....fake robotic-like service with terrible attitudes in Olney.

Not the worst post office around. However, when the regular mail carrier is on vacation and the substitute is filling in, your mail could end up anywhere and you'll receive mail that is addressed to other people in your neighborhood. Calls to the the postmistress (the manager of this post office) aren't returned.

Not professional at this location. Does not and will not listen to customers. Refused to look at Email from USPS. Very bad attitudes here. Will never come back again. Awful service. Made a huge mistake but refused to look at documents from their own company. No customer service here. Bad customer service. Yes there is a HOLD category in a post office. But Ed was too lazy to do is job!

While one guy named Ed is good help, most of the other workers aren't all that good. In fact there's one guy I really honestly don't like there. All I wanted was some tape which they clearly had in the open and they wouldn't help me. Good store, but has a couple of jackasses there as well.
