The weather here is usually great. Sometimes it's a bit chilly and windy. There are lots of areas to explore since this is such a large base. There are plenty of roads good for biking with low traffic.

the 1996 CMS Springifle IL jobs applications an not a PILoT or ALL STAR's vs SSG Dennis Ten point preference just 5point's talkin 2017 now how did they find out? Harvard Law grad's, SOLO's are still pilots not license they count job applications today.

I spent seven years here in the C E S squadron. It was my crew that put up the Avenue of flags . I really enjoyed the weather there.  60 to 80 year round.  I even mowed my grass one Christmas.

Was stationed at this base back in 1981 is still look the same except I only got to see it from the outside they would not allow me in even though I was a veteran they said that they only did tours on certain times of the month and you had to register online if you didn't have a sponsor which was a family member that is on the base pretty much couldn't get in I was very disappointed in that because they really tighten security since 9/11 so c'est la vie

I saw the first rocket launch of my life here on Jun.25th. It was the falcon 9 of SpaceX. We watched it off base after parking our car along the ocean avenue, Lompoc. Here is as close as you can get without entering the Air Force base, about 4 miles away from the launch pad/complex-4.
