An esplanade lined with palm trees welcomes you to this brand-new campground near the central Gulf Coast of Texas. Live oak trees shade this former horse and cattle ranch, just across the road from 3,100-acre Coleto Creek Reservoir. Enjoy the expanse of Texas ranch country, with lots of open space and greenbelts blooming with wildflowers in spring, and where deer browse year-round. Stroll along the campground's nature trail; birders will delight at the array of birds that pass through. All the facilities here are new, including the sparkling swimming pool and the extra-long pull thru sites that come with concrete patios, tables and grills. Boating and fishing are great on neighboring Coleto Creek Reservoir and on the Gulf Coast, less than an hour away. This KOA is midway between Victoria and historic Goliad-close to shopping, dining, festivals and golf courses-making it convenient for an overnight stay or a mild winter getaway.
