Story

Come and enjoy the San Antonio KOA, which sits on a creek amid 40 acres of pecan trees. Just 10 minutes from downtown, city buses take you to the center of San Antonio's history and culture, including the River Walk. Visit The Alamo and other Spanish missions, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, SeaWorld, Majestic Theatre, zoo and museums. Book a tour that departs from KOA and enjoy all that San Antonio offers. Upon your return, swim or play a round at the golf course next door.

Honestly I haven't been to a KOA in decades, but this was not what I remembered or expected. Very clean place with friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom facilities were pretty remarkable for a campsite, and the cabins looked like a great place to stay. I stayed in a tent, and even though it's right in San Antonio, there were not too many highway noises to be bothersome.

Wasn’t super impressed when we first got there, however the longer we stay the more I like the location. Only complaint we had was the heated pool was not heated, and the dog park had fleas. It was a lot of little things that we haven’t received at other parks that made it nice. Lots of workers cleaning up and always taking care of the campground. Jogging path was nice and had police station near by. It’s in the industrial part of the city, so fair bit of noise. Live music in the restaurant was nice, a real good friendly musician.

The entire campground is maintained very well. The people are very nice . Sites are easy to get to and clean.
The only noise we heard were the freight trains going by from time to time.
The store is well stocked.
Shopping is convenient in town.
Access to the highway is very easy.
I would highly recommend stopping and spend some time here.

Good place to stay and close location to City attractions. Felt safe and gate locked at night. Clean sites and friendly staff. Sites are a bit tired and our site was on muddy grass. Quiet at night in the campground.

A fairly large KOA close to downtown San Antonio spaces are quite close to gather we had a pull through site which was supposed to be 48 feet long, our 40 motorhome had very little space room spare. Good children's playground swimming pool, fresh pizza and breakfast. I was a little concerned with the warning that the Koa is within a flood zone especially as we had a lot of rain  When we left the river nearby had broken its banks. Other than that we enjoyed our stay  and will likely stay here when we visit San Antonio.
