The wait can be long but this Dr really does take time with each patient and is really thourough in making sure there's no underlying problems on a regular basis. The nurses and staff are amazing a bit overworked they always have a smile on their faces. The tech who does the bloodwork is fantastic I have very hard to reach veins and she has never poked me more than once where most people have to poke me at least 4 to 5 times to find a good draw. The office is always clean and I couldn't ask for a better Doctors office.

Filed against : Vista Medical Associates Inc. 2909 W Charleston Blvd Las Vegas NV 89102-1925 Complaint Description: Doctor refused to see me after waiting for an hour when he tried to get me to pay for an unneeded EKG when all I needed was a physical for school. I had an appt. on 9/20/17 at 1 p.m. I was told over the phone that I would need to make an appt and come down so they could verify whether my insurance covered the cost of a physical I needed for school. After waiting for half an hour for the front desk lady to call my insurance company she said they would cover it. After a few minutes she told me that I would need to pay a 30$ co-pay. My insurance allows me one day of the year up to 150$ to see a doctor with NO COPAY so I told her that I didn't have one and she didn't say anything else. At 245 I was called to the back and as the nurse was taking vital signs she told me that I would need an EKG in order to get the physical and when I asked her if my insurance would cover that she went to the front and I could hear people arguing but not what they were saying. She came back and told me that she didn't know if it would be covered so I told her I didn't want or need an EKG. I'm 33 years old and in perfect health with no heart problems she said that she would talk to the doctor. She came back a few minutes later saying that that doctor wouldn't see me and when I tried to talk to one of the receptionists they went back to talk to the doctor and the same thing. He won't see me now and won't even talk to me about doing my physical without an EKG. DR. KOFI E SARFO. So basically my two year old daughter and I waited there for over an hour for no reason and I was told that the doctor wouldn't see me FOR NO REASON. Because apparently it's mandatory for a 33 year old to have an EKG when I came for a PHYSICAL FOR SCHOOL. This should have been told to me long before we waited for over an hour. And they couldn't even verify whether my insurance would cover it (the one receptionist said I should just get it done anyway) and I'm pretty sure it didn't cover it because it is very basic insurance for school that only covers 150$ for one day of the year towards an office visit. So if the doctor had actually decided it was worth his while to see me then I'm sure I would've received a bill for the EKG that wasn't needed. Your Desired Resolution: The doctor KOFI E SARFO can call me and explain to me why he refused to see me without even talking to me and why he refused to give a 33 year old in perfect health a physical without an EKG. Maybe he can just verify that it's for insurance reasons and he gets paid more for doing UNNEEDED EKGS.
