It's a very nice hotel. I've stayed several times here for professional events and it is well kept and managed professionally and hospitably. We did actually have the door latch somehow get latched by itself when we left our room and had to have a hotel engineer come to get us back in. They couldn't get it open and ended up having to break it to get us back in the room. It took a little while for the guy to get there, but after he did he was fairly quick about getting the situation taken care of. He and the security staff were both very helpful though. A few other things of note, overall it is kept very clean. Sometimes the stairwells are wet though, because they have the ice machines right in front of the stairwell entrance, so water gets tracked in and it can be slippery. But now I'm just nitpicking. I've had great experiences every time I've been here so far. I think they deserve the 5 star rating overall, even with the few minor things I've noted.

Very nice hotel. Amazing reception area with very professional staff to wait on you. Nice location in upscale DC neighborhood. Room was nice but a bit small. Could use a little updating. Will definitely stay again.

Staff was courteous and kind. Restaurants and bars in the hotel were good as was their proximity to the metro and a variety of local restaurants. Common areas are updated and impressive. The rooms in the central tower were small and in need of some updates, but everything was clean and it was easy to get around.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels you can check them out on HotelRaven.  com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

This is not my first time at this hotel but it was my best experience with the staff. They were more professional, helpful, and put together than in past years. The beds are a little hard and the blankets are very very very thin. The pillows are extremely flat and hard. Next time I will bring an extra blanket and my own pillow so I can sleep better. The walls in the downstairs area are paper thin and you can hear everything. We had a double room that was extremely small, four people fit in the room bit only barely and with unpacking all our bags into the drawers. The beds were tiny too, two people barely fit. Definitely not queen beds.
